Megyn Kelly Made a Really, Really Bad Choice
The American Thinker ^ | Jan 4 2007 | By Jay Valentine

News this week is that Megyn Kelly is off to NBC. Waiting to hear about the bidding war that clearly did not happen. Now starts Megyn’s decline into obscurity, remembered as someone who was a hot commodity for a very short while.

Until it all became about Megyn.

What Megyn, Greta, and other passing Fox celebs do not grasp is the importance of the Fox time slot.

When Greta departed, Brit Hume did a perfectly good job with news and commentary. Now Tucker Carlson is delivering an outstanding show with positive reviews from about everyone. Before that slot, Tucker was almost unknown nationally. Now Greta will be. The slot made her, and without it, she is going to learn that her audience has little personal affection for her. The slot, however, will do fine.

I hope Fox will put someone there like Sharyl Attkisson, who is a true reporter. Maybe she is FNC material. Fox will decide.

Over the next months, we can watch NBC make a large investment in launching the new Megyn shows, only to watch initial audiences peter away. Perhaps Megyn will end up with an Ashleigh Banfield-type show nobody watches, now that the novelty of Ashleigh eyeware has long worn off.

Actually, it seems Tucker’s show might have been a test, in anticipation of Kelly’s departure. See how he and his show did in ratings, which were great and probably helped them make a decision on just how much they needed to negotiate with her.

MeAgain made a good choice short term financially but career wise she doomed herself with her behavior at the first debate. She will fit in quite well at NBC and will eventually ride off into oblivion like Banfield, Curic and the rest of the leftist. She will be nothing more than a footnote in history in a few years.

She chose poorly...

Laurie Dhue!

Has she dried out yet? I understand she , like Diane Sawyer, are rather fond of booze.

Talking heads are a pimple on the tip of your nose. You watch it as it festers and grows until it pops then your glad it’s gone.

A news report that is simply videos, pictures, graphics and maps with a voice over of the who, what, when, where, why and how of an event without an agenda would be a welcome change. Save the talking heads for the agendized editorials.

She’s laughing all the way to the bank. Can’t stand the snaky bitch, but she has made millions on being one.

Megyn Kelly is not going to NBC to be a conservative voice on that progressive channel. She’s going to be a new progressive voice. She’s an opportunistic slime so watch her shed her very thin and transparent conservative skin and go full hysterical progressive.

Her journalistic appeal peaked with her attractive countenance and now being 46 her looks are diminishing and as she grows shriller and shriller.

Funny thing is, if she played it straight with Trump he would probably be a big cheerleader for Megyn, but she wanted to cut herself a new set of fangs and came up short.

I think the little b*tch blew herself up when she launched her vendetta against Donald Trump.

Exactly right. She was OK until that precise moment.

During the entire Trump campaign, Megyn continuously presented the most slanted anti-Trump propaganda that could possibly be imagined. There wasn't the slightest veneer of fairness or balance in a single show that involved Trump. It was a mockery of anything even remotely resembling journalism.

Megyn has made her bed, and now she must sleep in it...

She’s an attorney.

You don’t expect “warm and fuzzy” from that.

I believe it will be fun to guess how long it will take her to reveal her true liberal self. I think conservatively we could say 30 seconds into her first show.

I've thought Meagain was auditioning for a job at one of the legacy networks for quite some time, well before she went 'all about me' during the first Republican primary debate.

Glad she's gone and doubt she'll have acceptable ratings at NBC.

Before that slot, Tucker was almost unknown nationally.

Not really true. He's been on Fox and Friends Weekend for a few years, launched The Daily Caller, and had a show on MSNBC years ago before that station went full moonbat.

I kinda compare this to, in the 60’s, quitting Toyota to work for Studebaker.

Speaking of, WTF is Katie Colic doing back on the morning NBC slot.

I did a quick check this morning to see the local weather and there was that Pug Butt face sitting next to Lauer.

Good thing I don’t eat breakfast because I would have lost it.

Megyn Kelly is a cancerous ulcer on national television. She will fit right in over at NBC.
