Never been there, but Greenville shows up on a lot of “Best Places To Retire” lists. They need to stop ruining places like that!

I’d imagine your neighbors and coworkers can’t wait for you to get out of the south, either. If your comments and attitude here are any indication, you’re an insufferable boor.

On the DC retirements, I wonder how many are simply moves within the metro area. Empty nesters and retirees may want to downsize and kill the mortgage but still stay in the metro area. A few of the destinations listed are pricey (and very nice), but most are solidly middle class without the premium commanded by the prestige neighborhoods. Potomac and BCC would be exceptions.

Agreed, sick and tired of the flood of uncivilized libtards traveling about in Florida.

What part of the NW? I already have a liberal relative that fled MA to Oregon. Maybe you would balance it out.

Moved to Oregon from Los Angeles a year ago. No sales tax, clean air and water, friendly folks (although a liberal state - Portland and Eugene voters). I live in Salem, far more Conservative. C’mon up.

SC finally gave reciprocity to GA about 10 years after they should have, in mid 2016. GA of course immediately reciprocated, SC was always the hold up.

I am quite certain there were many Georgians traveling to Hilton Head and such that were carrying illegally in their vehicles in SC, until the recent change.

Georgia, S.C. now have firearm permit reciprocity

I grew up in Falls Church Va when it was growing from rural to suburban. Most of the houses were 2 bedroom cracker boxes. I hear that it’s one of the nation’s richest places now.

Greenville’s appeal is causing bordering Anderson county to boom in housing since the local taxes are about half. Two families from KS have moved near me in the past 6 months. Good conservatives all.

Tennessee, baby. Where the property’s are very reasonable and they can’t touch military retirement!

Husband and I have a five year plan to sell our home in SC and be gone to the mountains near Gatlinburg.
