The Clintons have always claimed their family charitable foundation was able to raise so much money because, deep down, Saudi princes and Ukrainian oligarchs are really concerned about poor children in Haiti.
It will be interesting to see if past Clinton Foundation donors will continue their generous giving in the years to come. Hillary’s shocking defeat in the presidential election means that no member of the Clinton dynasty currently holds, or is running for, a powerful government position.
The foundation has already started reaching out to donors to ask for money, the New York Post reports. Clinton Foundation chairman Bruce Lindsey announced in an email to supporters Wednesday that former President Bill Clinton would personally match donations up to $200,000 before the end of the year.
“As we prepare for a new year, President Clinton and Chelsea remain dedicated to our work providing everyone a chance to succeed,” Lindsey wrote in the email. “Your contribution before the end of the year is so important that President Clinton is personally TRIPLING every gift to the Foundation, up to $200,000.”
Interestingly, Hillary’s name is nowhere to be found.
The FBI is still investigating the Clinton Foundation for corruption and money laundering. It was a hot topic during the presidential race; Donald Trump repeatedly described the foundation as a “criminal enterprise.” Emails published by WikiLeaks exposed questionable behavior at the foundation, such as the Qatari government presenting Bill Clinton with a $1 million check for his birthday.
In the email to foundation supporters, Lindsey dismissed allegations of wrongdoing, describing the foundation as a “force for good in this world.”
We’ll see in the coming months and years if the foundation’s sketchy donors were truly committing to “saving the world,” or if they just saw the foundation as an easy way to purchase influence and access to power.

Liberals ran with this meme during the campaign that Trump didn’t release tax returns, there was something sinister about his finances. Yet there have been reports of financial irregularities with the Clintons. And we have heard reports of amended informational returns for many prior years having been filed by the Clinton foundation. Yet that fact barely made the news at all.
The fact that the Clintons took a $1 million tax exemption for a contribution to their own charity similarly didn’t make the news. While apparently legal, such a financial maneuver should have been something to raise some eyebrows about. But the liberals and the media simply overlook any details of Clinton shenanigans.

If the CF can be investigated and put out of business, it will truly mark the end of the Clintons. It is the spawning ground for the next generation if it is allowed to survive.
Yep, it’s gong to be really tough to get half a million for a 20 minute speech now days and the Clintons know that. They are now on the outside looking in. But honestly they will not be destitute after all, how much does bill get from the US Gov for being a two term president and how much does he get from the state of Arkansas for all the years he cheated, excuse me, I mean worked for the people of that state. And hillary must have something stashed away in her 401K. Forgive me, 401Ks are for the deplorables, not for rich connected people like the Clintons. Rambling now, Bill is on his last legs and could die any day. I think he’ll go before Hillary. What will hillary do without all of Bill’s government checks? Does she get anything from being a two term senator from NY? Does she get anything from her time as Secretary of State?
