The Washington Post on Friday reported a genuinely alarming event: Russian hackers have penetrated the U.S. power system through an electrical grid in Vermont. The Post headline conveyed the seriousness of the threat:
Russian Hackers Penetrated U.S. Electricity Grid Through A Utility In Vermont, Officials Say
The first sentence of the article directly linked this cyber-attack to alleged Russian hacking of the email accounts of the DNC and John Podesta what is now routinely referred to as Russian hacking of our election by referencing the code name revealed on Wednesday by the Obama administration when it announced sanctions on Russian officials: A code associated with the Russian hacking operation dubbed Grizzly Steppe by the Obama administration has been detected within the system of a Vermont utility, according to U.S. officials.
The Post article contained grave statements from Vermont officials of the type politicians love to issue after a terrorist attack to show they are tough and in control. The states Democratic Governor, Peter Shumlin, said:
"Vermonters and all Americans should be both alarmed and outraged that one of the worlds leading thugs, Vladimir Putin, has been attempting to hack our electric grid, which we rely upon to support our quality-of-life, economy, health, and safety. This episode should highlight the urgent need for our federal government to vigorously pursue and put an end to this sort of Russian meddling.. ."

The problem here is we know terrorist networks have been attempting to bring down our power grid. Now the left wants to protect the terrorists and blame the Russians. Someone is going to pay for this treason by the end of the next 4 years. The left should stop this nonsense and make peace with whatever false deity they worship.
Considering the amount of wikileaks surrounding the Clinton Fuundation, DNC, Hillary’s email server, Abedine and Anthony Weiner’s PCs, et al,...any foreign intelligence service would be remiss if they hadn’t also hacked into those resources.
The post is proving to be an even bigger joke then the NYT and that’s saying something.
If our power grid came down - as, for instance, in an EMP attack - it would be impossible to have an inauguration.
I’ve been watching to see if there is any way that Obama can prepare the setting so that a take-down of our grid (through whatever means) could either genuinely be cause by or at least plausibly blamed on somebody else (Russians, North Korea or Iran, terrorists, etc) if Obama ordered the false-flag event himself.
I’m hopeful that people in the positions necessary to do such a thing now realize that Obama is toothless - so they would refuse to do such a thing.
I’m also hopeful that Russia won’t take the bait while Obama is trying to start a war with them. Putin’s response to the sanctions was perfect!
I also hope that if North Korea and Iran are working together on a rogue plan to hit us with an EMP attack via satellite, Russia and/or China would stop them. I’m not sure how things are going with China; they could be the weak link in this. Both China and Russia have worked together to create a financial system that would withstand the takedown of the US or Europe so it’s clear that they’ve been thinking for a while that the US could be going down. Kevin Freeman has suggested that Russia and China both have the capability to bring down the US financial system whenever they want and could want to euthanize us when the timing is best for China and Russia. Seems like Putin is willing to give Trump a chance. Again, not so sure where China stands.
Obama has held the door open for terrorists so bad things could be here. But our military has the way to track all nukes so anything nuclear being done by terrorists within the country would have to be at the OK of the military lleadership. I’m hopeful that those people understand Putin’s tactics and realize that Obama is toothless now. Anything treasonous from Obama would hopefully be refused by the military leadership.
So anyway, I watch with interest any moves by regime spokesmen to create possible scapegoats for a grid attack, because it could be signaling that a false flag may be attempted.
For clarification, I am not saying this is absolutely what is happening or will happen. I am saying it is a possibility and we need to be watchful. Just as I’ve said about an EMP attack possibility. It’s something we need to be watchful for.
The fact that John Bolton was not afraid of suggesting that the “Russian hacking” claim was a false flag by the regime tells me that the regime’s constant attack on “conspiracy theorists” has gone bad, and credible people are now able to credibly and publicly suggest what some of us have suspected to be the M.O. for this regime all along. Obama’s resources for destroying the country on the way out are diminishing, and that is a very good thing. Hopefully we can make it through this transition with the country and world intact.
Those who call BS on the regime’s propagandists play a crucial role in protecting the US and the world right now. There will, of course, be posters on FR who try to continue the regime’s attacks against these people serving this critical role.
“Yeah, the Russians wanted to infect the Vermont grid.”
Larry, a spokesperson for the Vermont utility, said that 2 computers were affected - those of his brother Darryl and his other brother Darryl.
The idiot media is crying wolf so much that if and when something really does prove to be true, no one will believe them (except McCain and Lindsey boy). The media pulled the same sh-t against Trump during the election, but they are too dumb or in the tank for the Dems (or both) that they never learn.
“If our power grid came down - as, for instance, in an EMP attack - it would be impossible to have an inauguration.”
I beg to differ - the Inauguration does not have to be televised to occur.
Other than that, I agree with your premise that the pinprick-in-chief is not above trying to cause a crisis between now and January 20, 2017.
I wonder how it would go over if we started accusing THEM of "McCarthyism."
The power grid going down would impact more than just televising an inauguration. The grid going down would mean that no gas stations could pump gas, which means that no trucking could occur and whatever fuel a person had would be all they’d have for a very long time. That’s what would make an EMP so deadly; a Congressional research paper from a decade or so ago said that in the first 6 months after an EMP (because of the loss of the power grid) there would be 1.5 million dead from dehydration, starvation, and/or disease, IIRC. It would be chaos. The way to get anywhere would be walking or bike. If it was just the power grid and not an EMP attack, electronics would still work on battery power, and phones would still work, but it would be a terrible mess, if the grid could not be fixed in decent time.
“I am convinced that the following are not run by mature, adult exectuives:
Wash Post, NY Times, CNN, MSNBC”
I’m convinced that water runs downhill.
Oh, that's right . . . they supported Russia back then!
The Post is getting it’s fake “info” from the white house.
I wonder if McCarthy really knew just how right he was??
