I really like Iowahawk. I haven’t seen anything new on his blog since 2014. Does he write for some other site these days, or does he just tweet?

Haven’t read any of David’s commentary lately but he is a master of sticking the knife in, and giving it just the right twist.

Breaking: State Dept expels 20 Nigerian diplomats after John Podesta fails to receive $1 million wire transfer from nephew of General Okezi - - — David Burge (@iowahawkblog) December 30, 2016

" Well, far be it from me to push false narratives. So let's review reality thread-style, shall we?"

1/ John Podesta, like 100% of everyone who has ever had a email account, received a password phishing email. He fell for it.

2/ According to some accounts, the phishing email had Russian fingerprints/ characteristics in its metadata.

3/ whatever the case, the password purloiners downloaded his emails, which eventually got into the hands of Wikileaks, who made them public.

4/ The emails were mildly embarrassing, revealing frequent circle jerking between the DNC and journalists. Mostly embarrassing to media.

5/ At the time of their release (Oct) they were hardly covered by any media, and largely dismissed as a big fat nothingburger.

6/ Not one of the people whose emails were revealed has ever disputed their authenticity or provenance.

7/ Fast forward to December. The October nothingburger has now magically transformed into "vote hacking" and "election hacking."

8/ new narrative: treasonous Trump operatives conspired with Putin to hypnotically mesmerize Clinton voters into pulling the wrong lever.

9/ This is not Alex Jones or angry conspiracy kook Facebook uncles, it's the NYTs, the WaPo, our beloved State Radio.

10/ how effective has this been? If polls are to be believed, 50%+ of Democrats believe the Russians literally modified vote tallies.

11/ none of this is a defense of Trump, or his garbage kleptocrat pal Putin. It's an indictment of our garbage narrative-driven media.

12/ it shouldn't have to take a drunk internet nobody to point any of this out, but hey, here we are."

"And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how it’s done."

Here's the report.

GRIZZLY STEPPE – Russian Malicious Cyber Activity

Besides pointing out that it was a Democrat who clicked on a bad link, I don't see where it proves anything.

I got a Twitter account basically to follow David Burge( iowahawk)

I unfollowed him last year as his snarky attacks on Trump became annoying. I just refollowed him a few days ago as I saw a few funny retweets from him and decided to give him another try. I’ve got him on double secret probation though.

That Twitter storm was impressive.

You will have to ask Mr. Burge but the media has been keying on the Russian connection ever since Trump entered the race. A quick search yielded these sources more recently:

Wahington Times - December 15

"President Obama’s spokesman repeated the administration’s accusation that Mr. Trump “obviously knew that Russia was engaged in malicious cyberactivity that was helping him and hurting Secretary Clinton’s campaign.”

CNN - December 30

"I've never seen the Russians ever try to manipulate American politics like this, and so successfully, because not expelling the American diplomats right now for me is an attempt to delegitimize the new president, Trump," Baer said.

"The fact that (Putin) is saying, 'look, Trump is our guy, I can get along with him, I'm going to ignore the president' -- this just fuels the conspiracy theories that Trump is the Manchurian candidate,' and there are people on the left who believe it."

Kentucky Basketball coach John Calipari.

It’s the best “mike-drop” gif I’ve seen.

No, no serious reporting, just the usual half truths, misdirection, lies, and innuendo.

SPECIAL BULLETIN—

This coming Tuesday’s Message from Trump:

“We found out that Hillary bribed the Russians to hack the election so she could win by giving them a huge share of US Uranium mining rights, AND SHE STILL LOST because the voting machines had better security than Hillary’s private server , the DNC servers, and John Podesta’s email account !”
