Not to worry; as there are probably a lot waiting in the wings just to get a chance to sing with the choir.
The Choir accepts applications for new singers from July 1 to August 15 every year. Before members join the Choir, they undergo a rigorous audition process consisting of three phases, which take place over approximately six months. Prospective Choir members must also be active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, be recommended by their bishops, and live within 100 miles of Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Applicants must be between 25 and 55 years of age. Tenure in the Choir is 20 years or until age 60, whichever comes first.
In the first step of the audition process, applicants submit an unaccompanied recording of a song selected by the music director. The second stage of the audition, a musical skills test, measures musical ability and aptitude. Applicants with an acceptable test score then advance to the third stage, where they perform a hymn of their choice, sight-read a piece of music, and test their vocal range in person before the music director and associate music director.
Even after selections of new singers are made, the evaluation process is not quite complete. The selected singers are brought into the Temple Square Chorale for a four-month period during which they attend musical training classes and sing with the Chorale. If they successfully complete the training program, they become members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
I say supporter loosely it is better said the leader of the Mormon church was a supporter of the Bush,Romney McCain never trump faction of the republican party.

In June 2008 Obama’s mother Stanley Ann Dunham was dead dunked by the Mormons into the Mormon religion..she had been dead for more than 10 years but here was her chance for a lifetime atheist to get some religion and go to the Mormon afterlife...
She was dead dunked “baptism for the dead”,
was married by proxy to the already married father of the illegitimate Barak,
was given exaltations and honors that only the top Mormon guy would receive, allowing her to go to the top shelf of the Mormon afterlife, the so called “celestial kingdom” and have her own planet,
and was “sealed” to her children, making Barak Obama a Mormon too..and eligible to go to the celestial kingdom and be king of his own planet...
(Wont Joey and Briggie be surprised to see a black president in their lily white exclusive afterlife )
since then other Mormons have done so called “temple work” on her also...
so without paying one red cent of “tithe”, Barak Obama became the 1st Mormon president, and even better, the 1st BLACK Mormon president...

George Romney was expecting to be president as he was “entitled” to be because he believed he was the Mormon white horse prophecy golden boy, but he only got 41 votes to Goldwater’s 800+ ...

anyhoo...forward to 2008 and Willard ran for the GOP nomination and lost to McCain...He withdrew on Feb 7 and gave a campaign speech therein starting his 2012 run...He never did get around to helping McCain or urging his Mormons to help but spent the next few months giving Gov Sarah Palin all kinds of grief...mustn’t have a WOMAN near the White House...and if its not Willard or some other Mormon who cares if the Democrats win ???
To make busy work that year the Mormons suddenly discovered they could horn in on what the Baptists were doing in California with their Prop 8...and so the polygamous Mormons spent millions of dollars and thousands of man hours knocking on doors during a presidential election year...in California pretending to support one man one woman marriage..
and so they were in part responsible for McCains lose to Obama...
Then we come to 2016...well you know how that went with the golden headed flake err Mormon champion of the White Horse prophecy...
Willard can be nasty but this year he was nutso...or maybe just sounding like the liberal he is...
God put His pick into the White House in spite of all the pagan Mormons and their Ted Cruz wing of the Republican Party tried and threw against him...

The Mormons were not a “Trump faction of the Republican Party because the Mormons are not Christians...they don’t believe in or worship or serve the LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible..
Nor do they pray to the God of Israel but have they only man-god and all his god wives...
so how would they know God wanted His people to vote for Trump ???

Sure Trump is a rich business man with real estate and hotels.....Joseph Smith was rich too with real estate and hotels and a bank where he printed his own $3 bills and cheated and scammed people out of millions until he was charged with bank fraud and fined $1,000 which he never paid...I think that was one of the times he escaped from jail too...he fled to another state...
Mush has been said about whether trump is a Christian or a good enough one...The Mormons have never cared that Joseph Smith condemn Christianity and the Holy Bible and was thrown out of the Methodist Church for his immoral lifestyle (sex, drinking, stealing, etc) and then the Presbyterian Church for teaching unBiblical doctrine..
