Against the backdrop of a sanctions announcement, President Obama’s administration has released a Joint Analysis Report claiming to outline the details of Russia’s involvement hacking into targeted political data base or computer systems during the election.
Except it doesn’t.
Not even a little.
The “Russian Malicious Cyber Activity – Joint Analysis Report” (full pdf below) is pure nonsense. It outlines nothing more than vague and disingenuous typical hacking activity that is no more substantive than any other hacking report on any other foreign actor.
This might as well be a report blaming Nigerian fraud phone solicitors for targeting U.S. phone numbers. DUH! Just because your grandma didn’t actually win that Nigerian national lottery doesn’t mean the Nigerian Mafioso are targeting your employer to hold you accountable for her portion of the bill.

Only Podesta’s emails have been made public, and those were leaked by an insider. We can only imagine what all this fuss is really about, but it sure is NOT about Podesta’s leaked emails.
There was a thread posted earlier today, that ol bj and Hillry are in ‘secret’ negotiations for pardons. So got to keep the ‘public’ immersed in the notion that there is ‘evidence’ the Russians hacked Trump to victory.

This report is ‘justification for (further) *domestic* action.
A fellow developer and I were commenting on this topic on another venue, and we concluded that the document seems to indicate a level of incompetence unsuspected before.
They'd be very wise not to play the 'domestic tyranny' card.
Certain capable individuals might take notice.
They don't want that.

It would make more sense (a lot more) to nuke Saudi Arabia for 9-11 than to blame Russia for these hacks. Plus, while it's easy to get pulled into a tech discussion, let's not forget that the most likely source for the majority of this information was an insider.
