As crazy and mutually exclusive as it sounds, Obama was a radical homosexual, atheist, moslem, revolutionary socialist.
He galvanized every stripe of people with hatred for America.
And we haven’t won a thing besides an election. This election is like a platoon of Marines taking the position on the hill. Every grunt will tell you this is no time for celebrating. It’s time to disperse into defensive positions, redistribute ammo, make sure there are no threats left inside the perimeter we just created. Start digging and improving positions.

Putin was reading from a prepared statement to a selected and calm audience, most likely to prevent misconceptions and mischaracterizations of the content, and to promote thoughtful analysis of his comments.
Considering Western Civilization's current point in history, I think this is a genuine attempt to bring light to the growing problem and growing danger to Western Civilization.
I also think Putin is more of a bureaucratic leader than a wild card leader, and this kind of assembly is a normal method of communicating policy for him and the Russian Federation political establishment in general.

That’s a heads I win, tails you lose mentality. If he doesn’t promote the church, he’s no good. If he promotes the church, it’s for politics and he’s no good.
I hear people here want him to follow the old US tradition of hands off religion and no state support or restriction. But ask yourself, if a nation goes through 7 decades of official atheism and hostility and physical destruction of churches, doesn’t that nation have a right and a responsibility to try to repair some of the damage that was done before?
A man can change. That’s one of the essential tenets of Christianity.
Putin is not a perfect ruler, but he may be a Christian one. In that sense, Putin -— with all his mixed motives and contradictions, and yet open avowal of the Faith-— puts me in mind of Charlemagne.

That is certainly possible and I hope it is true.
Over the past two decades, since the collapse of the Soviet Union, there has been an upsurge in affiliation with Orthodox Christianity in Russia. Between 1991 and 2008, the share of Russian adults identifying as Orthodox Christian rose from 31% to 72%.
For most of Russian history they were a strong Christian nation. They are returning to their roots. Some of their greatest leaders used faith as a tool, but some were true believers who sought God for answers. I suspect Putin might be Christian, but is using faith to control the populace.
If BO’B can call himself a Christian, then it is possible that Putin is a Christian as well.
