The Syrian army said in a statement that so-called Islamic State (IS) and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (formerly the Nusra Front) "and the groups affiliated to them" were not part of the agreement.

John McCain is saddened...

So everyone except Hussein’s terrorist BFF’s will cease fire.

Another accomplishment for the US Führer.

Why would Ace McCain be saddened?

He was the Fraud’s boots on the ground to arm these factions, which are NOT part of the “cease fire”, and are free to continue the Fraud’s and their missions against the USA and Israel.

He calls ISIS “ISIL” like his god in the white mosque does.

Sen. Ace McCain:

“President Obama’s decision to completely withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq in 2011 led to the rise of ISIL. I and others have long warned that the failure of the president’s policy to deny ISIL safe haven would allow the terrorist organization to inspire, plan, direct or conduct attacks on the United States and Europe as they have done in Paris, Brussels, San Bernardino and now Orlando.”

One can’t help but wonder if it’s a coordinated maneuver to go after the “rebels” that have been armed and trained by the CIA.

Well since the proposed deal specifically excludes ISIS, I would say you are correct.

Why would Ace McCain be saddened?

Because it means his proxy fighters in Syria aren't getting a free pass and both Turkey and Russia see them as a common enemy.

Thought that much was obvious...

So the Russians, Syrians, and the “moderates” are at a sort of peace while the truly vile side is still okay to be shot at.

Isn’t this what the US position has been angling for? Kerry must be saddened that peace proceeds without him.

Obama has done more to destroy the US presence and standng in the Mid-East than any other person ever has...or, IMHO, ever could short of the anti-Christ.

The US should have long ago brkered such an agreement and could have...but Obama and Hillary wanted their Arab-Spring, wherein they supported the very terrorists we fight against, and tried to do so on the sly...while Turkey, Russia, Israel, and everyone else knew what they were doing.

So all of their plans failed...as welll they should have. The Egyptians figured it out and are now hunting down and executing every Muslim Brotherhood member they can find because of their terror...whom Obama to this day supports and has representatives of in State and the White House.

Russia played this smart. They wer enot going to give up their warm water port in Syria short of a major war...so they simply took the riegns and bombed the living you-know-what out of the terrorists and all of the civilians who supported them are chose to stay near them. He has supported and saved the Syrian leader who was his ally. Putin did what you are supposed to do for your allies when they are in a hard place. Now Syria, Russia, and Turkey have come to terms...and the US, even though we killed a lot of individual terrorists...are on the outside looking in.

But I believe Trump will repair the damage...but he will have a lot of work to do.

Maybe Putin finds it is getting a little expensive for him now. After all, his only real resource is oil and the price is still very low. After all, they probably do remember Afghanistan.

McCain spent 5 years in a Vietnam prison. The USSR was Vietnam’s most important backer. You think he has forgotten?
