The only legal consequence that can’t happen after Jan. 20 is expulsion from office. Obama should be imprisoned, fined, lose any pension and perks, and perhaps be deported or executed for his fraudulent use of forged public documents, usurpation of federal offices, etc.
Not going to happen. In the real world legalities, he would always have 2, 3 acolytes on the jury.
Plus, if I was defending him (which I would decline to do), I might make the argument that my client may have benefited from this false claim of NBC status, but he was not the perpetrator / originator of the claim. The legal point would be that the false clain was made by his mother, and as a newborn, he had no cognition of the falsity of the claim.
