A Surprising Number of Democrats Think Pizzagate Is True
NY Magazine ^

Posted on 12/28/2016 6:33:35 PM PST by TigerClaws

Nearly half of the nation’s Republicans believe John Podesta’s leaked emails contain coded messages referring to “pedophilia, human trafficking and satanic ritual abuse,” according to a new poll from The Economist and YouGov. But more shocking is the number of Dems who have signed on to the asinine conspiracy: Twenty four percent say Pizzagate is “definitely” or “probably” true.

The poll asked respondents to weigh in on a series of questions labeled “conspiracy theories,” including some classics (Was 9/11 an inside job?) and some of the tinfoil crowd’s more recent hits (Did millions of undocumented people vote in the election?). Answers broke down largely along party lines, but it’s the small percentage of weirdos who believe in the conspiracies aimed at their own side that’s always the most fascinating.

For example, it’s not shocking to learn that more than half of Republicans think President Obama was born in Kenya, which was throughly debunked years ago. But it is shocking to learn that 20 percent of Democrats think so, too. On the other side, it’s easy to believe that a full 50 percent of Clinton voters think Russia “tampered with vote tallies” to help elect Trump, despite a lack of evidence. But why would 9 percent of Trump voters believe the same thing?

Despite broad disagreements on politically relevant conspiracy theories, Democrats and Republicans did find an issue to unite them — vaccines and autism. The poll found that 28 percent of Democrats believe “vaccines have been shown to cause autism” and 29 percent of Republicans do, too. Perhaps they read it on BHO's own website and in his biography? Maybe they heard his wife say that he was born in Kenya?

For something that was "debunked" the Obama's seem to have spent a lot of time pushing the fact that he was born in Kenya.

At least until it was not convenient to do so. Then you were a "birther" if you believed what the man and his wife had said.

When were they lying? When they said he was or when they said he wasn't?

MSM in lockstep mode over this. I’m sure that alone will make the Trump team curious.

Ben,

The issue of Obama’s place of birth will cease to have legal significance in 24 days, and some ways, it was always moot. Yes, had it been proved early on to be false, and I mean 100% proof, it might have forced him from office. But now, that is not the real issue.

The real important issue always was, that regardless of his place of birth, he was never really an American.

Being an American is so much more than just place of birth. It’s having the relatives ooh and aah when you come home from the hospital. It’s birthday presents that never fit and clothes your mother buys hoping you’ll “grow into them.” It’s riding Big Wheels as a toddler, then training wheels and finally a real bike, with a piece of cardboard clothes-pinned to bike frame so the cardboard makes a great noise rattling against the spokes.

It’s your gang at the bus stop and on the bus, or waiting on the corner to walk to school with someone special.

It’s drinking from the garden hose in the suburbs, or turning on the fire hydrant in the city to cool off in the summer.

It’s discovering girls, and Mom not having to tell you to dress neatly or brush your hair as a result. It’s being able to identify every car make and model, current and back for five years, just by a quick glance at one taillight.

It’s talking yourself out of your first speeding ticket, and confessing to the parents how the car got that “little dent” last night. It’s being afraid to take your date to “Lovers Lane,” only to learn that she is as anxious to neck as you are.... and then lying to all your friends about what a stud you were the night before.

There is that and so so much more in the American Experience.... and Obama had none of it!

Regardless of his place of birth, he never experienced what it means to be an American, and every day he was in the White House, he moved further from it.

In the next 24 days, with his last-minute pardons and abandoning our friends around the world, and so much more to come, Obama is racing away from whatever small thread of Americanism he ever had.

There are so many emails similar to the one you describe. It is literally scary to read.

Perhaps the scariest part is that no one is seriously looking into this. The best research I have seen into this is from the young people on Reddit. Some of the more persistent ones think they broke the code. When applied to the emails one is horrified in what they are reading.

So where does Ms. Sandler get the idea that this handkerchief is “pizza related” or that it has a “map” from what Ms. Tate told her? It’s not to be found.

She talked to Tate after she got the email and got more detail before she emailed Podesta?

Sounds perfectly plausable.

What difference does it make if Zero was born outside the USA? We know for an absolute fact that Ted Cruz was born in Canada, the courts don’t seem to have a problem with it

I think lots of people don’t believe pizzagate because the threat of being thought of as “weird” or “stupid” is working on them.

Not because it doesn’t seem to be true.

Because if Obama s mom
Gave birth over the border in Canada (most
Likely), she was not at the time old enough to confer citizenship upon him.
