Putin Criticizes Western Countries for Abandoning Christian Roots

Text of the video:

A further challenge for the national Russian identity is connected to the processes we observe outside of Russia. They include foreign policy, moral, and other aspects. We see that many Euro-Atlantic states have taken the way where they deny or reject their own roots, including their Christian roots which form the basis of Western civilization.

In these countries, the moral basis and any traditional identity are being denied - national, religious, cultural, and even gender identities are being denied or relativised. There, politics treats a family with many children as juridically equal to a homosexual partnership; faith in God is equal to faith in Satan. The excesses and exaggerations of political correctness in these countries indeed leads to serious consideration for the legitimization of parties that promote the propaganda of paedophilia.

The people in many European states are actually ashamed of their religious affiliations and are indeed frightened to speak about them. Christian holidays and celebrations are abolished or "neutrally" renamed, as if one were ashamed of those Christian holidays. With this method one hides away the deeper moral value of those celebrations.

And these countries try to force this model onto other nations, globally. I am deeply convinced that this is a direct way to the degradation and primitivization of culture. This leds to deeper demographic and moral crisis in the West.

What can be better evidence for the moral crisis of human society in the West than the loss of its reproductive function? And today nearly all "developed" Western countries cannot survive reproductively, not even with the help of migrants.

Without the moral values that are rooted in Christianity and other world religions, without rules and moral values which have formed, and been developed, over millennia, people will inevitably lose their human dignity and become brutes. And we think it is right and natural to defend and preserve these Christian moral values.

One has to respect the right of every minority to self-determination, but at the same time there cannot and must not be any doubt about the rights of the majority.

At the same time as this process plays out at a national level in the West, we observe on an international level the attempts to create a unipolar, unified model of the world, to relativise and remove institutions of international rights and national sovereignty. In such a unipolar, unified world there is no place for sovereign states. Such a world needs merely vassals.

From a historical perspective, such a unipolar world would mean the surrender of one's own identity and of God-created diversity.

It is.

And, if you know something about Russian history.

Their entire history is about being invaded - either from the east or the west. Swedes, Napoleon, Hitler, Mongols etc.

Remember what the Russian activity in Cuba almost caused?

Russia is surrounded by “Cubas”.

For Russians, the West taking over Ukraine and bringing them into NATO as well was one step too far.

I do not advocate what the Russians did.

Crimea reminds me of Sudetenland. Then again, if Hitler’s ambitions ended with Sudetenland it would not have been such a catastrophy.

I come from Norway, a NATO nation bordering Russia. I know many Russians and they are to a man and woman good people. Christian, though a bit chauvinistic Russian orthodox.... i.e. They believe all the other Christians got things a bit wrong.

But, yeah. My greatest hope for the world is for the West to finally make peace with Russia.

God knows, we have enough enemies in the world.

Hey yeah, remember they were once the only nation in the world surrounded by hostile communist countries too. They always had their collaborators and apologists, and they still do. Different ideology, same game of dominance, same quislings who don’t stand for liberty are their for the despots in Moscow.

July 2003 - Yuri Shchekochikhin , a vocal opposition journalist and member of the Russian Dumaand the Kovalev Commission, suddenly contracts a mysterious illness. After his sudden death on July 3rd. The Russian authorities refused to allow an autopsy, his relatives “managed to send a specimen of his skin to London, where a tentative diagnosis was made of poisoning with thallium” (a poison commonly used by the KGB, at first suspected in the Litvinenko killing).

June 2004 - Nikolai Girenko, a prominent human rights defender, Professor of Ethnology and expert on racism and discrimination in the Russian Federation is shot dead in his home in St Petersburg.

July 2004 - Paul Klebnikov, editor of the Russian edition Forbes magazine, is shot and killed in Moscow.

September 2004 - Viktor Yushchenko, anti-Russian candidate for the presidency of the Ukraine, is poisoned by Dioxin. Yushchenko’s chief of staff OlegRibachuk suggests that the poison used was amycotoxin called T-2, also known as “Yellow Rain,” a Soviet-era substance which was reputedly used in Afghanistan as a chemical weapon. Miraculously, he survives the attack.

September 2006 - Andrei Kozlov, First Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Central Bank, who strove to stamp out money laundering the highest-ranking reformer in Russia, is shot and killed in Moscow.

October 2006 - Anna Politkovskaya, author of countless books and articles exposing Russian human rights violations in Chechnya and attacking Vladimir Putin as a dictator, is shot and killed at her home in Moscow.

November 2006 - Alexander Litvinenko, KGB defector and author of the book Blowing up Russia, which accuses the Kremlin of masterminding the and Pechatniki andKashirskoye bombings in order to blame Chechen terrorists and whip up support for an invasion of Chechnya (which shortly followed), is fatally poisoned by radioactive Polonium obtained from Russian sources.

On January 19, 2009, Russian human rights attorney Stanslav Markelov was shot in the back of the head with a silenced pistol as he left a press conference at which he announced his intention to sue the Russian government for its early release of the Col. Yuri Budanov, who murdered his 18-year-old client in Chechnya five years earlier. Also shot and killed was Anastasia Barburova, a young journalism student who was working for Novaya Gazeta and who had studied under Anna Politkovskaya, reporting on the Budanov proceedings.

On July 14, 2009, leading Russian human rights journalist and activist Natalia Estemirova , a single mother of a teenaged daughter, was abducted in front of her home in Grozny, Chechnya, spirited across the border into Ingushetia, shot and dumped in a roadside gutter.

You can squirt out all the verbal squid ink you want, it doesn’t change the fact that you de facto support Muslim conquests in Europe and the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Christians in places like Syria and Iraq through your preferred policies and leaders.

No one is claiming Russia never did anything bad. A pathetic straw man. Once again you avoid directly stating your anti-Christian policy preferences and spew out a stream of classic logical fallacies and sophistry.

One can oppose Islam without believing Putin’s crimes are the work of a Christian, unless you’re the sophist. apologist quisling type.

I’m sorry. I thought the post was about Putin and his comments. I guess if Obama and Hillary are not Christian then it doesn’t matter what Putin does, has done, and intends to do. They absolve him of his sins.

Excuse me, absolution of sin? Only God's knows the heart/mind of any of His children. Our 'government' idiots have not been the slightest bit bothered by the transgressions of Putin/Russia. Actually, our government idiots, paved the road to Damascus for ol Putin to set up shop. IF they had been proactive from the get-go and NOT unleashed the demons along the Euphrates Putin/Russia would not have the cause to be protecting Assad.

But you don’t oppose Islam.

You cheer the Islamic conquests in Bosnia and Kosovo and bash Russia for protecting Syrian Christians.

Russia is protecting its military bases in Syria and Assad. The rest about Russia is claptrap. I don’t believe in genocide against Muslims or Christians. It’s not Christian. So you can say I’m not with you. At the end of the day, I for free societies, not Islamic and not one where a state established one. I know that’s odd, but that’s just me.

I know it is a LIE that Putin kept Hillry from winning. Christians DO not bear false witness, or make false accusations.

You have a long laundry list of Russian crimes. But NONE of those were any part of Brack's accusations. His BS lie is the Russians hacked our election. Total unadulterated BS... So why does our lawless government ignore the literals crimes of Putin/Russia and falsely accuse them of something they did NOT do?

I’m not able to explain why the Democrats have been indifferent to Putin’s threats, his crimes, or his attempts to restore the Russian Empire at the expense of the peaceful neighbors near him. I oppose Obama and his policies, so please realize that my criticism of Putin do not equate to support for Obama. Somethings are not binary and mutually exclusive.

I take comfort that the only 'record' that counts for eternity is kept in store by the Creator. IT is not taking up for Putin to point out that the leftists in this nation are lying about Putin hacking this election for Trump.

You can believe Putin if you want. Just keep in mind that he’s not the friend of free men, free nations, or the USA. In fact, he’s not a friend of Russians either.

Death and last statement

Late on 22 November, Litvinenko’s heart failed; the official time of death was 9:21 pm at University College Hospital in London.

The autopsy took place on 1 December. Litvinenko had ingested polonium-210, a poisonous radioactive isotope. Mario Scaramella, who had eaten with Litvinenko, reported that doctors had told him the body had five times the lethal dose of polonium-210. Litvinenko’s funeral took place on 7 December at the Central London mosque, after which his body was buried at Highgate Cemetery in North London.

On 25 November, an article attributed to Litvinenko was published by the Mail on Sunday Online entitled Why I believe Putin wanted me dead...

In his last statement he said about Putin:

…this may be the time to say one or two things to the person responsible for my present condition. You may succeed in silencing me but that silence comes at a price. You have shown yourself to be as barbaric and ruthless as your most hostile critics have claimed. You have shown yourself to have no respect for life, liberty or any civilised value. You have shown yourself to be unworthy of your office, to be unworthy of the trust of civilised men and women. You may succeed in silencing one man but the howl of protest from around the world will reverberate, Mr Putin, in your ears for the rest of your life. May God forgive you for what you have done, not only to me but to beloved Russia and its people.
