A top tech executive was arrested Wednesday near Seattle after police said he tried to pay for unprotected sex with a girl he allegedly thought was 15 years old.
Dov Katz, the head of computer vision at Oculus VR, was charged with attempted commercial sexual abuse of a minor after he allegedly fell victim to an undercover sting operation orchestrated by the Tukwila Police Department, Gizmodo reported.

You don’t have it so you don’t believe it. The sex drive can be stronger than even thirst or hunger. It is stronger than the fear of death. I’ve seen people throw their lives away to have sex just once.
The guy in the article, “starved” and couldn’t control himself. He grabbed for it and didn’t care if his life was over. In his mind, the sex IS his entire life and nothing else mattered. Imagine a starving person staring at a steak dinner with a gun to their head. Inevitably, they’ll take the bullet for that one bite
Only way to stop a truly starving person from eating is a gun or iron bars...
Too bad there isn’t a death penalty for men who abuse children sexually. Or at the very least, mandatory castration.

There was no woman, at any time. Not a 19 year old woman. Not a 15 year old woman. At any time.
I’ve seen transcripts of these online conversations. The cops give the perps numerous opportunities to back out and go away. They’ve even gone as far as warning the perp that what the perp wants is illegal. The creeps that get snagged in these stings deserve everything coming to them.
I wouldn’t let any man babysit my 12 year old daughter.

See if I understand liberal logic. He’s charged with attempting to have sex with a minor who actually wasn’t minor.
Why not charge him with attempting to have sex with a horse. Oh wait in WA state that’s not illegal.
Tempt someone to commit a crime? He committed the crime AFTER she told him she was 15. He ruined his own life when he continued on with the arraignments despite knowing she was underage.

The cops set out to arrest someone. That’s what they did. But it’s okay to completely and utterly destroy someone over make believe.
It’s literally insane. What’s even nuttier is people jumping out to defend the police when it’s a blatant violation of multiple constitutional rights.
Sometimes the cops do, but usually they don’t follow the guidelines, they arrest people that try to back out, they go on adult websites and say they are of age and get someone hooked, sometimes they even encourage the chat towards sex, sometimes they harass people until they agree to meet.
It’s not all black and white.

It would go along way to answering your question if you had answered my previous question about parents pimping out their own kids. Meaning that we live in a very disturbed world.
We are not talking about leaving an unlocked Corvette running in a mall parking lot.
We are talking about the fact that REAL KIDS are preyed upon by savages with an overpowering, demented need they are going to fulfill eventually. There may have been no victim here (except of course the ‘poor’ guy who was snared) but God knows there are victims everyday. When you come up with a better solution than this cop (very possibly on his own time), please let the world know.
In the police transcript, officer states she is a 15 y/o girl and the guy agrees to meet her anyway.
Any parent that pimps out their kid should be killed. Period. End of story.
We’re talking about men that go onto ADULT ONLY websites and contact or are contacted by someone that CLAIMS to be of age then that person changes their story multiple times, and before any exchanges are made or any commitment to actually having sexual contact the man is arrested and his life ruined. Just because there are very few people out there that go looking specifically for children to abuse?

I think you are misunderstanding me a little bit as well.
The cops should protect children, absolutely.
But they should perform these stings on websites that are for kids, chat rooms for kids, and other websites for kids.
NOT ON ADULT WEBSITES. BAIT AND SWITCH STINGS ARE WRONG.
