(CNN)Arguing that Americans still subscribe to his vision of progressive change, President Barack Obama asserted in an interview recently he could have succeeded in this year's election if he was eligible to run.
"I am confident in this vision because I'm confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could've mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it," Obama told his former senior adviser David Axelrod in an interview for the "The Axe Files" podcast, produced by the University of Chicago Institute of Politics and CNN.

Considering the election fraud machine America’s indigenous urban peoples can crank up when they’ve a mind too, I have no doubt that he is correct.
Our side is delusional if we don’t realize that Hillary was a lousy candidate. If the Democrats had fielded a better candidate the election would have been much closer and indeed, the Democrat could have won.
The reality is that for many swing voters, Trump was the lesser of two evils. If the Democrats had put up a candidate less obviously evil, Trump would not be guaranteed the lesser-of-2-evils vote.
Maybe we dodged a bullet. Maybe it was divine intervention.
We should learn from recent history and not get delusional like the other side is.
The only thing he could have won is a "one-way ticket to Palookaville". Incompetent moron.
I believe he might have in fact won a third term. It does not mean his so called, “hope & change” is justified. It just means he has built a loyal, deluded constituency. It is also a great example of why we need presidential term limits!
I thought he WAS running again. There never was anything like it in our nation’s history the way they hauled Hillary’s carcous around to campaign events.
