The New York Times is calling for an end to the Electoral College.
Americans would prefer by overwhelming majorities to elect a president using a popular vote system, the newspapers editorial board said in a piece published Monday.
They understand, on a gut level, the basic fairness of awarding the nations highest office on the same basis as every other elected office to the person who gets the most votes, the editorial said.

Sure he could win the popular vote. But he wouldn’t care about the issues and concerns of the small states. That’s the point of the EC

From which era? They were teaching that the USA is a “representative democracy” in early 1980s civics classes, and not explaining the reason behind the electoral collegeonly stating that it was in the Constitution and that we had that instead of the popular vote for POTUS.

NY Times supports leftist tyranny. Film at 11.

They claim voter ID is racist but want us to trust the popular vote to elect a president. They want corrupt cities like Detroit and Philadelphia to steal the election with voter fraud. They can't win either way without cheating.

Yes, the 57 or so counties that Hillary won would like to exert their control over the 3000+ counties 500 Hillary to 2600 Trump.

As long as we’re starting over from scratch, I suggest we expel all leftists. Then there won’t be any need for an electoral college.

Yeah good luck with that amendment. Get all those states between ny and California to give up their power. That’s going to happen.
Said nobody ever.
How about we let geographic majority rule.
I could go for that.

Inn 1920, the
New York Times published an editorial that space flight was impossible in the vacuum of space. In 1969, on the eve of the first moon landing, they printed a retraction.

Is the NY Slimes even relavent in 2016?
Maybe to the liberal ruling elite, certainly not to flyover America who just elected DJT, and expect him to do whatever he can to restore this county more to what it looked like in 1988. DJT is the first Pres since 1928.
Trump Will Take Office with More Power Than Any Republican President Since 1928; Heres Why
Let's see if the GOPee squanders this opportunity with Paul RINO and Turtle McConnell in the leadership!!!

Dear New York Times,
If you want the Electoral College to be abolished, it is very simple. An amendment to the constitution would need to be enacted. The amendment would require at least two-thirds approval in both the House and the Senate and would then require ratification by at least 38 of the 50 states. If you want to advocate for such an amendment, you have every right to do so.
To: Olog-hai
This would require a Constitutional Amendment in a majority Republican Congress just to please a few sniveling Snowflakes .... Good luck with that NYT

The Slimes has to continue to double down on stupid and outrageous to try to stay relevant... and solvent. It’s a game of diminishing returns which will have them in Chap. 11 sometime next year.
