You never heard of Bocelli before, did you? He’s totally blind. He has a young child, and his decision in his circumstances makes sense. I don’t like that he was bullied, but find his decision very understandable. Easy for us nobodies to decide what others should do.

The leftists in this country have near complete control of the performing arts. Whether you are an actor or a musician, you are shamed into keeping any conservative political leanings to yourself, otherwise you find yourself on the outside looking in, shunned and blacklisted by the entertainment community at large.
There are some notable exceptions such as Scott Baio and Ted Nugent. But when was the last time Baio had a TV show? Or Nugent had an album that charted? If you already established a successful career, it might be possible to continue to eke out a living as an outed conservative but the road is much tougher.
This is all due to the fact of course that those who consider themselves liberal tend to be the most intolerant and hateful people on earth. Not sure if that can be changed because they are who they are.
With all the other things Trump is going to need to contend with when he takes office, changing the culture in the performing arts is probably low on his priority list. But I bet he has something to say nevertheless about Bocelli getting bullied into cancelling his planned Inauguration appearance.
