he Washington Secretary of State is reporting 4 faithless electors in today's ballot, with 8 votes going to Hillary Clinton, who won the popular vote there.
Three of the faithless electors voted for former Secretary of State Colin Powell, with one voting for Faith Spotted Eagle.
...these are apparently the first ones to be allowed.

Their purpose was to oppose the Electoral College - by proving it doesn’t work with idiots.
Actually SIX turned on Hillary. One in Maine was forced to recant, one in Colorado was replaced.

The funny thing is that they were supposed to vote for Hillary and chose otherwise.

Even though I do find it funny that they are not voting for Hillary, I don’t like this.
I don’t like electors playing games with people’s vote at all, even though I don’t agree with who these people voted for.
It could just as easily be me that they are playing games with, and I would be pissed beyond responding rationally were that the case.
I suspect that the faithless electors are still fuming at the treachery used to dump Bernie. These folks are getting in digs at Trump AND Hillary with one act of defiance. They see it as a twofer.
I would have voted for Faith Spotted Eagle before Hillary
So if only the one in Texas doesn’t vote for Trump. That would be a net +3 for Trump.
So the phony recount helped Trump. Now the phony EC coup attempt could backfire too.

That’s their purpose: to cause that reaction - to get rid of the Electoral College and go to popular vote.
