Obama opened the press conference by touting his economic and policy achievements before heaping praise on his own shoulders.

I was listening to the whole press conference as I was preparing my food for the Sabbath. Normally, I would switch the radio to another station or off as soon as I heard his accursed voice, but I had raw chicken and whatnot all over my hands, and didn't want to touch anything. Was really short on time, too and didn't even want to waste time washing up and going over to radio to change it. Anyway, this roped me into listening to the whole sorry mess of a press conference. During the entire thing, I could not help but think that Odungo's magic reader was on the blink because every single thing he said---EVERY SINGLE THING---sounded like he was stalling for time, trying to eat up the clock. I never heard such improvo blather since a 5 year old tried to come up with a whopper for why he was in my garden picking flowers. It was uh, uh, uh, it was simplistic childlike answers anyone on the street could have said better, etc. He said NOTHING of any import or real substance for the entire darn press conference. It fills one with fear, thinking that THIS idiot has been in charge for 8 too-long years. Other people must have been using this blathering fool as a Charlie McCarthy doll and doing the real work behind the scenes. I don't think this sorry thing could really think their way out of a wet paper bag.

Thank G-d we're getting an ADULT back into the office soon.
