was not physically able to do more. I think she worried about collapsing on stage, something I really wanted to see.

This is sure part of why she stayed away from her own campaign. Don't forget every time she appeared in public her approval numbers dropped. :-)

I’ll never forget that every time she kept her mouth shut, her poll numbers went up. I’m trying to confirm that the number of appearances by Trump was about a dozen to every one of hers.

Even pathetic Tom Dewey ran a better campaign in ‘48 than Clinton and he sucked pretty badly.

All she had to do was listen to the advice given during the preliminary stages of her determining whether to run or not. Two portions of that advice were: (1) shut down her rogue server and transfer the information to proper security control, and (2) stop accepting questionable contributions to the Clinton Foundation. Do either one would have saved her a great deal of bad publicity during the campaign, and doing both very likely would have won her the election.

There are reasons why she could not do that. The Clinton family is a crime family. That is why they exist. The political side is just a means to an end.

If you read through the Podesta emails it is clear that those who did not understand that reality were called "idiots" and "naïve".

(Please note: I am not calling you that--but the senior Clinton staffers would call you that. :-) )

Hard to see where her campaign was any more inept than Dukakis, Mondale, Bush’s 1992 campaign, or Carter’s second campaign. But the key is that she ran not to lose rather than running to win. And it cost her.

I’m in a heavy R county in west Michigan. Zero history of any activity with the D party.

Yet, my home phone received 2 GOTV messages in the final days before the election, recorded messages, one from President Obama and the other from the First Lady.

I knew then that Hillary’s campaign spending was screwed up. If her people were out calling MY number to get out and vote (which was going to be Republican), how many other Trump votes did she help get to the polls on Nov 8?

BTW, although I got a couple messages from Donald Trump, Jr. in the final week encouraging me to attend 2 appearances by DJT in Holland and Grand Rapids, I got no GOTV calls from the GOP.

She felt she was owed it and her yes men/women told her she would win it. Oops.

Something the left fails to see is that Hillary is incompetent and makes poor decisions, in nearly every aspect of her life. She may have ambition, but that’s about it.

Ahh, and there’s the rub! Trump really does know the art of the deal. Hillary walked right into his trap.

I don't think hilLIARy clintoon "ran" a campaign. It was apparent she STUMBLED, DODDERED, TOTTERED, STAGGERED or LIMPED. I ridicule her obviously worthless existence.

True...and IMO you can chalk that up to being out of touch with the average voter, but Hillary had it “in the bag”. McCain/Dole etc. didn’t choke...they just got their clocks cleaned under normal circumstances.

Kinda like Dole, McCain, and Romney; flawed candidates.

Clinton Wins Fewer Electoral Votes Than Any Dem Since 1988
November 10, 2016 | by Oren Peleg

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton may have won the popular vote in the 2016 election — and by an incredibly slim margin — but her electoral vote is one of the lowest in recent history. Having won over 60 million votes (50.12 percent of the popular vote), Clinton gained only 228 electoral votes — the lowest for any Democrat since Michael Dukakis ran in 1988.

“This is the worst Democratic performance in the electoral college since Dukakis 88,” Chuck Todd, a news anchor for NBC, tweeted on Nov. 9.

According to 270ToWin, Dukakis, who ran against Vice President George H. W. Bush, garnered only 111 electoral votes. Bush picked up 426 votes — only 270 are needed to become president.

However, unlike Clinton, Dukakis lost the popular vote by nearly 7 million votes.

When Miranda Lambert saw the sign a veteran was holding up at her concert, she immediately broke down in tears:

But do not expect the Electoral College to disappear tomorrow.

“I think if elections continue as they are, I think the Electoral College is here to stay,” John Hudak of the Brookings Institution said, reports CBS News. “I think that a couple of elections close together where the popular vote loser is the Electoral College winner, I think you’ll start to see much more movement on that.”

“I know that over the past 200 years, there have been dozens and dozens of proposals to do it and it hasn’t happened so far,” Hans A. von Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation added.

Clinton is now the fifth presidential candidate in history to win the popular vote, yet lose the electoral vote. The closest previous case was Al Gore’s loss to George W. Bush in 2000, notes NPR.

She didn't even legitimately win the nomination of her own Party, but cheated to do so.
