Pelosi: Tillerson Not Suited for ‘Revered Position’ of Secretary of State

Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” while discussing President-elect Donald Trump naming ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson as his secretary of state, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said, “With all due respect to the president’s nominee, perhaps he’s suitable for something else,” adding that secretary of state was “a revered position.”

Pelosi said, “First of all, let’s — what is the job? The job — the secretary of state is really in line to succession to the president of the United States … Well, by sequence, they are, but that’s the primary one and has special status. So the secretary of state is the person who should be recognized as a person who is a leader in terms of our security, our values, and our interests. In terms of the president-elect’s nomination, the coziness with Vladimir Putin is very alarming and should have eliminated him, frankly. Right now, his approach to the sanctions on Russia, because of their aggression in Europe, should be enough to say, perhaps another relationship with the administration, but not secretary of state.”

It scares me to think she was next in the presidential succession line after Biden. [shudder]

Nancy - you might want to check that line of succession again - that would be a way down the line for Secretary of State to step in to the presidency - 4th! And would it be too much to ask for someone in your position to be able to form a coherent sentence?

And a leader of our security, our values and our interests? Who’s included in that!! People like Hillary?

Who does “OUR” cover? Progressives? Not in your lifetime, Nancy... NEVER!

John Kerry lowered the bar to ground level. DiFi knows Lurch is going to be shown as a complete fool if the new guy is capable at all.

yeah, nancy, President is a “revered” position too, and I bet you’re not exactly happy with the current pick for that “revered” position either.

And I thought that Speaker of the House was a "revered" position ... until mincing Princess Nancy came trip-tropping along, wielding her comically oversized gavel

Not as “suited” as someone like... oh... say... hillary clinton?

Pelosi’s an idiot.

But in Pelosi's view, Kerry, the laughingstock of the entire world, was well-suited for that 'revered' position.

Yeah, right.

Nancy Pelosi’s brain creates an enormous flood of brown malodorous matter, which then exits through her mouth. And as much of a total useless evil idiot that she is, what are the people who kept voting for her to keep her in office? They are brain dead animated dummokratombies.

It’s really no surprise to see Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer on the same page as Marco Rubio and John McCain (yet again). When Marco joins hands with Chucky to oppose Tillerson’s appointment, it will be just like his happy days with the Gang of Eight all over again.
