Republican Leaders to Oppose Trump Tax Cuts

You just knew this was coming… Republican leader Mitch McConnell warned today he will not pass Donald Trump’s tax cuts.

Senate Majority Leader McConnell has a different plan. Bloomberg.com reported:

President-elect Donald Trump’s race to enact the biggest tax cuts since the 1980s went under a caution flag Monday as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell warned he considers current levels of U.S. debt “dangerous” and said he wants any tax overhaul to avoid adding to the deficit.

“I think this level of national debt is dangerous and unacceptable,” McConnell said, adding he hopes Congress doesn’t lose sight of that when it acts next year. “My preference on tax reform is that it be revenue neutral,” he said.

I’m not worried. I think Trump and Turtle have concocted a plan. No tax cuts without spending cuts. So Trump slashes spending at EPA, Dept of Ed and HUD. Stops all the Green Energy subsidies, PBS funding, Planned Parenthood funding etc etc.

Everybody wins except Cloward/Piven types.

Well, conservative Kentuckians haven’t been able to beat McConnel in the primary but I think It may be time for the nuclear option. If McConnel becomes the nominee, Republicans are better off voting for the Democrat. Yes, even as believer in liberty, capitalism and property rights,

I’m saying that it does the Conservative movement no good to have a champion who does not believe in tax cuts, who believes therefore in bigger government and against economic growth. McConnel must be replaced at all costs. The Lesser of two evils has become the greater evil because Mitch has morphed into a socialist with control of the Republican Senate.

Mitch needs to leave congress and as any good lawyer go back to molesting dogs and young children for a living.

Ole Turkey Neck causing problems already huh? This can be laid at the feet of the people of KY. They had a chance to replace him but there are too many stupid people in KY. No offense to those who tried, but anything McConnell does to thwart Trump can be laid at their feet.

Republican Leaders to Oppose Trump Tax Cuts

Actually what McConnell said was that the tax cuts had to be offset with spending cuts, but since Congress will never cut spending then it's pretty much the same thing.

Where were you for the last eight years, Mitch?

Pouring gasoline on the fire. Now the arson wants to be fireman.

McConnell and Ryan are prime examples of why the nation has utter contempt for congress.

>Paul Ryan says they are almost to revenue neutral with tax plan.

Mr. ‘balanced, 25-yrs out’??

Revenue neutral to govt\RINOs means BIHICA (MORE taxes on the ‘rich’ + more spending).

Leave it to the ‘leadership’ to announce their game plan ahead of their moves; it will make it easier for DJT to run roughshod over their stupid asses.

>How about spending that is revenue neutral, i.e., a balanced budget.

No thanks. ‘Balanced budget’ to govt = tax until required.

CUT, 0-out, Dismantle+ any number of illegal/unconstitutional dept/agencies/committees/etc. THEN start talking about ‘paying off the debt’

Yeah, I see the nomination of Mrs. Turtle for Secretary of Transportation is already bearing fruit.
