BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) -- Hundreds of houses of worship are offering sanctuary to people who could face deportation if President-elect Donald Trump follows through on his campaign pledge to remove millions of immigrants living in the country illegally.
To some churches, sanctuary means spiritual support or legal assistance to fight deportation. Others promise or already are extending physical sanctuary by housing immigrants.
In Brockton, a poor city of about 95,000 people south of Boston, four churches have pledged to take in immigrants fearful of being deported.

I hope they check out what happened to the churches who did this in Sweden first.
Those found breaking the law pull thier tax staus
Does that include those who have committed crimes against American citizens? What if one of those they shelter kill innocent victims while in their protection?
These churches need to be made example of.
Option “E”, please.
If you cut off ALL BENEFITS, HEALTH CARE, EMPLOYMENT, AND ABILITY TO GET A DRIVERS LICENSE, this will take care of itself. No need to go round them up, or get involved in fighting all the idiots who want them to stay. Take away the crumbs and water and the vermin will leave of their own accord.
I bet we can guess what types of churches they’re talking about and I bet they don’t teach from their bibles either.
501c3 does not designate an organization as being tax exempt. Under the IRS code, churches are already exempt. All the 501c3 does is allow churches, ministries and religious non-profits to provide tax letters on behalf of their donors for their contributions. Tax exemption actually is controlled by the individual states and is determined there. It is a shame that any church gets a 501c3 and subjects itself to governmental influence/control.
I hope churches don’t get into breaking the law. They can help these people by sending them back with plenty of money.
Please no Catholic Churches.....please.....
Like they care.
