The Harriet Tubman $20 Bill Could Make an Early Debut
TIME ^ | December 7, 2016 | Maya Rhodan

U.S. government officials say Treasury Secretary Jack Lew could release early images of redesigned $5, $10 and $20 bills in an effort to pressure the Trump Administration away from reversing their plans.
.
.
.
...in the throes of the primary election, Trump called the move “pure political correctness” and suggested moving Tubman to a lower denomination like the $2 bill.

“Andrew Jackson had a great history. I think it’s very rough when you take somebody off the bill,” Trump said last spring.

FDR and LBJ were conservative vis a vis today’s Dems.

[it’s about the bill having other than Founders, Framers, iconography or a government official.]

Yes, fundamentally changing America. They’ve been rewriting history books, producing PBS “specials”.

No wonder 1/2 the country has bizarre thinking.

And what do you think of the naval ship USS Gabrielle Giffords? POTUS Trump should reverse that in the first week of office.

I hate the other one, but could embrace this version. That’s a good looking bill.

Naw, that’s the one that came up when it was pointed out that Tubman was a gun toting, 2nd amendment supporting Republican.

Liberals would rather have the grim faced grandma to make everyone feel awkward.

Use her as the model, arm her with a Colt Navy revolver, and you're done.

Harriet Tubman was a great American.

However to REMOVE anyone from the honor they currently have is problematic.

We had an “Army Street,” a major thoroughfare, here in SF. It was named to honor the Army which largely saved what was left of San Francisco from the fire following the 1906 earthquake.

it was renamed “Cesar Chavez” a decade or two ago.

I actually don’t object to naming a street after Cesar Chavez. He did some good things, seemed like a decent man. I’m not so into unions but there were issues with the treatment of farm workers. He was not violent or whatever.

But it was very insulting to take away “Army.”

They should have renamed another street. I doubt Chavez would have wanted the Army insulted like that.
