Jail for Christians? How about death to tyrants?

Being Gay should not be a protected class.

What it should be and what it is are two different things. One can say that religion is also a choice but do you remove protections from discrimination because you are Catholic or Jewish?

It’s the event, not the people, that the company can not support.

The problem that these types of articles never understand is that the issue is not discrimination but the Government forcing Christians (or any religion) to do things that go against their beliefs (i.e. forcing them to Sin).

For most Christians, baking a cake or performing a gay wedding, goes beyond providing a service. We believe it moves us into condoning the wedding, participating in the wedding, and more importantly, participating in the sin by aiding and abetting the sin.

Same for a landlord not wanting to rent to an unmarried couple. It is not discrimination. Our argument is that you are forcing us to condone the sin, participate in the sin, and aid and abet the sin.

This is why a religious freedom amendment is a MUST during this new administration. We'll never have a better chance and things are never going to get better without it.

Why doesn’t this sort of thing ever happen to me? I don’t care if it’s a LBGDTVIWAZ but if they’re got $1-2,000,000 for a D11 tractor, hell, I’ll look the other way and sell it to them.

A private business establishment Is not a public service. All transactions are private interactions between individuals and the proprietor. Or am I mistaken?

That would be so if we were not fascist.

As a proprietor, try paying the individuals that work for you less than the minimum wage. There seems to be a third party involved. A party that has wedged itself into the agreement via the power of the gun.

You are not mistaken at all!

You should start a business and not get a business license, not collect sales taxes, not pay taxes on the business, property taxes, worker comp. insurance, and refuse to follow all government regulations.

Well, there never was an actual “right to refuse service” ever recognized by courts or anything like that. Sure, people have asserted that right, but it had no legal meaning.

However, nobody really needed a “right” before the civil rights laws were passed, because the government simply had no jurisdiction to dictate to private businesses about who they would do business with. Even now, the ability of the government to interfere with private businesses rests on the tenuous assertion that the business is involved in “public accommodation” (originally only applied to businesses such as hotels and restaurants, but greatly expanded by the courts). Alternatively, they can assert that the business is in someway dependent on public funding, which allows them to interfere with the business on these matters as well.

Employees get subjected to brainwashing ‘diversity’ training.

Just ask anyone that works for a large company.

Especially if there are government contracts involved.

The businesses should say ‘sorry I’m booked up, try xyz & Co.

Or in your case, ‘I don’t have the tools/tech to do it’.

I’ve worked in IT for 17 companies. One was a government contractor and another was the government. You are exactly right.

If you read the article, you see that it is not even a state law, but rather a city ordinance.

Regardless, it's a local law which President Trump cannot overturn.

Of course, Jury Nullification.

Just don’t mention it while being questioned for the jury. They will throw you off faster than anything.

Jury Nullification is a perfect way to fight back and change the system.

The real question is where do they find a jury to convict on these kind of charges?

Gert Wilders was found guilty of hate speech yesterday..........sigh.
