Isn’t the land (primarily) already Federal Land, with the issue being that FedGov continually sets more and more aside as “protected”, and with ever more restrictive regulations on the rest? Or is there a lot of land being confiscated from private landowners, state ownership, etc.?
An interesting question to me is how much money the Feds could raise by selling some of it’s land, and, in some cases, how much economic activity could be generated by having that land in private hands...
