Recounts in 4 states have been filed at the last possible moment to deprive Trump of the 270 votes needed. The House of Rep. may decide the election. It will be based on one vote per state. Majorities: 15 for Dems, 33 for Rep. and 2 tied. Slam dunk for Trump. But, what if Hillary had won and Republicans filed for recounts in all states? The house would decide for Trump. The Dems believe they will make Trump look like an illegitimate President, BUT the precedent they set is horrendously dangerous for them since Republican states always outnumber Democrat states. Thoughts?
I suggest we all go outside and work on the fence, clean out the calf stalls, or something similarly productive.
One of the top 10 things on President Trump to-do list is clean up the voter fraud. ID’s in every state. Machines with retina scan or fingerprint technology.
Drain the Swamps
Trump doesn’t have to get 270 votes.
He only needs a majority of the Electoral votes cast.
Read your Constitution.
“What if” is for children and old people...................
A plurality in a 3 way or more race.............
When you look back at the past 18 months, you can’t help but understand that YHWH is in charge, and He picked Trump to do something and Trump is going to do it.
So let not your heart be troubled. The Luciferians thought they had rigged the election, but it didn’t take. No weapon formed against Donald Trump will prosper. :-)
I think he only needs one more ev than Clinton, assuming no one successfully challenges her number.
And I think the most the Democrats can hope for is to spread doubts about the process and Trump’s legitimacy.
Clinton cannot sue her way into the Oval Office.
Yes that has to be a top priority.
I expect the Leftist to have a conniption fit over it. After all the only way they win most of their elections is through voter fraud.
I think people that voted more than once should face 5 years in prison or lose their right to vote permanently.
Taken from the 12th Amendment:
...The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed.....
So, does the majority of the whole number of Electors appointed mean:
1) All electors and thus 270 needed regardless of the number of electors counted. If 270 not reached, it goes to the Congress per the remainder of the 12th amendment?
2) If a state does NOT appoint electors, then does that reduce the number of electors required. For example, lets say state XYZ has 10 electoral votes. When congress meets, the state is unable to certify and thus did not send in their electoral votes. Does that then reduce the electoral count from 538 to 528 and a majority of 528 or 265 votes are then needed?
I believe #1 is the correct answer.
Then it would go to the House to pick the President, and the Senate to pick the Vice President.
“Machines with retina scan or fingerprint technology.”
Do you actually want the Mark of the Beast?
Well it is already being done in stealth.
He is going to get elected, whether with 270 EV, or less than that, or by the House of Representatives.
By now America is so sick of this I don’t think any of those will de-legitimize him with any voters who do not already detest him.
This episode does open the door for him to push a MAJOR overhaul of the electoral process. National voter ID’s, remove lower Federal court jurisdiction over recounts, bar single digit sore loser candidates from pursuing recounts, etc.
And put an end to all the danged early voting!
Ummm, you might want to read the 12th Amendment.
Bump
THAT is the whole objective:
To prevent BOTH from getting 270 —they KNOW Congress will flip for Trump.
They don’t care:
The objective is to tarnish Trump as one who was SELected, not Elected.
It is not a majority of the votes cast. The section reads:
....The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed....
It is possible that appointed means those appointed by the states and if one or more states did not certify or send in their votes, then yes, your condition would be true.
However, I dont’ think that will be an issue now. And yes or no, either way it is sure to draw a SCOTUS case.
Majority of whole electors appointed.
This became a potential issue in bush v. gore.
The Bush people thought it would have to be 270, regardless.
Too bad it has to come down to all this. How all this appears to be accounted for in the Constitution, makes these founders look even more like geniuses.
I wonder how much more bizarre this can get.
I think the scenario is a little over the top. This will probably not happen again. The Dems will cook up something new next time. That said, I don’t understand why the Republicans entertain this liberal judges. The Governor, SoS and AG of Michigan should simply state that the election has been certified in accordance with MI law and there will be no more recounts. What the hell is this Judge Goldstein going to do?
