Likud leaders see Amona first-hand

A day after the removal of Article 7 - which would retroactively normalize the status of Amona and prevent the destruction of the community - from the Regulation Law, some 20 Likud activist leaders took a tour this afternoon of Amona and met with community leaders.

Avichai Buaron, one of the leaders of Amona and its struggle to prevent the destruction of the community, said that, out of the 124 acres (500 dunam) on which Amona is built, only half an acre (2 dunam) is subject to an ownership claim.

Buaron also noted: “The Likud members realized that we’re talking about a thriving community which stands in a strategic location. Similarly, it was made clear to them during the tour that we the residents are standing strong and do not intend to back down. The activists were surprised to discover that, because of half an acre, they are evacuating a community - which was erected legally by the government of Israel. They promised they would work hard with the PM so that Amona stays in place.”

Mati Yitzhak, a member of the Likud secretariat and Chairman of the Likud branch in Rosh Ha’ayin, said during the tour: “We promise ourselves that Amona will remain in place, because this is the way it should rightfully be. We will work with full force to ensure this effort is successful. There is nothing more just than this.”

Chairwoman of the Likud branch in Ra’anana, Racheli Ben Ari Skaat, said during the tour that “it was important for me to come today to Amona and understand what was being talked about - and nothing is better than seeing first-hand. 40 families, among them 100 adults and 200 children, are set to lose their homes, and we came to give them strength.

They’re going to tear down this yishuv, make everyone homeless, because of a land claim of two dunam? Drain the swamp.

I’ve been saying, harping on...for years...Bibi needs to just let (lead) Israel’s building ... these should be primarly local NOT national-level decisions, too (thus, more responsive to local needs and concerns just like local zoning in USA, also much less subject to USA-SnakeDept-ObamaNazi interferrence)

if there actually is a 2 dunum (less than one-half acre) parcel that happens to have a land claim on it, that claim should have been investigated and decided LONG LONG ago, and at the local planning or court level...NOT by the national govt in Jersualem)

get the systemic, structural impediments OUT OF THE DAMNED WAY and build housing for all who need shelter (especially the young cannot find affordable places to live), and tell Obvama/Kerry/SnakeDept/Soros/communists/IslamoNazis/Soroznazi/EUNzis to Go Pound Sand (up their posterior ofifaces)

Outside the perimeter fence of Alon Shvut in Gush Etzion, there is an Arab home where a fairly middle-class looking gent and his family live, with a nice new car, solid construction, etc. The fence is indented so as to accommodate his land. I think he won a land claim on a two-dunam plot, and good for him. They did NOT tear down Alon Shvut over that one small claim. This is a gross miscarriage of justice, I think by the courts. They’re good at miscarrying justice. The magnitude of it is simply appalling. Hundreds to have their homes bulldozed over two dunam?

The isra Li courts have appeared to need serious reform for a long time. Just as with many USA courts — justice is torgotten and replaced by extreme leftwing politics If the Arab owned that half Acre ( and it was wasnt one of the phony Jordanian deeds) then fine, Its proper he can keeps his lot. That’s zero reason for a court to uproot an entire town. Bibi should tell the court to GTH their decision is grossly unjust and won’t be implemented I am aware of the reticence to do this but if not now, when? Pat Nottingham unjust judges must be removed - both in Israel and USA

Major principles involved in the whole question of discarding a judge’s ruling. If ever there was a case for it, however, it’s Amona.

Yes. Discarding a court ruling is a significant step. USA has suffered from dictatorial court decisions since our judiciary simply asserted its supremacy. (marberry v Madison) It’s probably a structural issue without a super- good solution but we agree that the court’s attempt to uproot an entire town for no good reason needs correction one way or another. Perhaps the state or town should just exercise its power of eminent domain and pay the fellow for his 0.49 acre if it’s really his, and that’s that?
Or?
