Michigan does require ID, maybe that law slides in Detroit. Gross fraud and incompetence.
And if you don’t maintain them??? Even a newer machine will malfunction if not properly stored or serviced.

When I was a pole watcher evey one was watching like hawks.
When I saw a black woman come in saying she wanted to vote, she asked if one of the white guys would help her read the ballot. He said he would do that and then, in front of everybody, he asked if she wanted to vote Democrat (he asked her nothing else). She said yes. He then took her hand and as she gripped the pencil (yes, pencil)tightly he pulled her hand down the page hitting every appropriate Dem circle. So she got to vote and I reported him.
I was never asked to poll watch again.
This is why Bobo has played the sanguine role: he knows we beat their fraud with our Monster Vote; and if he is going to lead The Dems further into the wilderness, he cannot afford to have the fraud uncovered.

My interpretation: The fine people of Detroit have discovered a way to pull the ballot out of the scanner at the last second, and re-insert it, and get a double vote. And enough people were doing this to accidentally jam 87 machines. Stands to reason that each jammed machine would have at most, one over-vote. Sounds like the discrepancy is more than that - pointing to a widespread use of this ‘trick’.
Any bets on whether the reporter skipped over dozens of precicnts with thousands of extra ballots to use one precinct with a missing ballot as the example? One missing ballot is easy to explain, even by a voter signing in and then leaving to avoid a line. Extra votes? Not so easy to explain.
It would be sweet irony if the leftists' attempt to steal an election at the last second exposes their whole ballot stuffing machine.
Same as Bush v Gore, delegitimize Trump's win. It's the same playbook just a different drill: here Hillarystein is attempting to exploit the well-known weakness in electoral law by the fact that safe harbor date arrives so quickly after the election.

Scenario: 500 ballots turned in at a particular precinct. According to the machine, 400 voted for Hillary and 200 voted for Trump. This totals 600 votes.
So, the machine says 600 people voted but there are only 500 ballots. Therefore, the 400 vs 200 stands and a recount can not be done.
The real question is, why don’t the numbers match?
My take is that it might be fun to actually count the ballots and ignore the machine results.
That's virtually a certainty.

That suggests crooked precinct watchers -—the people in control of the registers and the machines apparently just locked the doors and entered a bunch of additional votes into the machines.
And their candidate Jillary has gotten them caught. Oh, the irony.

I agree, and ALL states need to take this as a heads-up to get their election and recount procedures in order. Wisconsin did so in 2011 after the first statewide recount in 100+ years and has tweaked it again, and will again after this. It should represent “best practices”.
No state should allow a recount unless there is substantial evidence that fraud or error has occurred, and should be limited to only those candidates who have a reasonable probability of winning in a recount. In other words, not Stein.
I think this is a win for us. Now, the fraudulent votes already tabulated will count, but Hilary’s people cannot manufacture MORE votes via a recount. And this was probably her best chance to do so...
If your like your fraudulent votes, you can keep your fraudulent votes.
