The State should Refuse the court order. It is well settled that elections are state matters and this intrusion is anti-federalist. Make Stein go higher. Get it to the SCOTUS eventually, by next year maybe. Stein has no chance of proving exigent circumstances sufficient to get US Court of Appeals or SCOTUS to waive the regular process. She has no civil rights violations to allege. This is pure bs.

The founding fathers were FEDERALISTS which means about the opposite of what you think it means..they wanted LESS federal involvement..

The ghost of FL 2000 - and Bush v. Gore - haunts this issue.The plain text of the Constitution indicates that the selection of Michigan Electors is a state issue, with no federal jurisdiction.
In Bush v. Gore the FL Supreme Court (whatever its official title was/is) was in cahoots with the Democrats to either flip - or extinguish - the FL election. Bush needed the FL Electors to overtake Gore; if the FL Electors were extinguished (meaning that the majority of Electors was reduced below 270 - Gore would have won.

- Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
In this case Hillary would need that result in three states - states with a Republican margin of victory far larger than the few hundred votes by which Bush won FL. I’m not sure whether Hillary would have more votes than Trump if all three were extinguished rather than flipped, tho . . .

This Federal judges’ meddling in a MI election has disenfranchised the Republican Party of MI from its’ statutory right to file an appeal before the count begins. He should be reprimanded by the higher court.
