The one interesting and possibly useful de jure item that could emerge from this is guidance or even a ruling seating the original set of electors. There's just a dearth of law on this.

A strong ruling about empowering the MI slate as is also would send a signal to faithless electors: if we can empower slates, then in the same vein, we can disenfranchise the faithless (perhaps permanently) and instantly promote alternates.

Unless I'm missing something there's something obviously wrong with the Wayne County results. They show 1.139 million votes cast, but if you add up the totals for straight line + the votes for president i come up 1.252 million. Am I looking at this wrong? Or did they supposedly put another 113,000 through the broken machines.

Well now, I would assume all the experts that claimed Trump’s evoting performance compared to his optical/punch ballot performance could not be statistically explained examined the data for non-statistical explanations such as double and triple counting ballots in NON-evote precincts. The narrative has been all along that the difference was due to hacking the evote machines in favor of Trump, when it has been fraudulent counting of Optiscan ballots all along.

We'll see what happens at 4 pm today when the hearing happens. Then how will the clash of state vs feds go down? If it does.
