Barack Obama had the flintiest resume’ of anyone who sought the presidency on a major party ticket. A white man with the exact same resume’ would never have made it past the first primary; and if he had been a homosexual white man he would have maybe made it into the second primary, but nothing beyond that. I don’t think Carson is super interested in running for elective office anymore, I think he feels awful for letting Democrats such as Armstrong Williams (Muslim) infiltrate his campaign and who tried to have him sabotage Trump.
