He kind of did what they’re making fun of him for doing. A better way of handling it would be to ignore it and if ever asked say he hasn’t watched it in years.
Sometimes it’s better to own the charecature, and the negative aspects of your personality can become reasons why people like you. They made fun of Clinton for being a womanizer and Bush for being not so bright but in a weird backwards way it almost worked in their favor.

For those posting the 'Trump NEEDS to do this or that' stuff ... Trump is not concerned with your sensibilities or preferences. His tweets are cold hard calculations designed to accomplish something.
