D.C. Police responding Sunday to a report of a gunman at a popular pizza restaurant in Northwest Washington detained a man armed with an assault rifle, according to a police spokeswoman.
D.C. police Chief Peter Newsham said a lone suspect in his 20s walked into the front door of Comet Ping Pong with an assault rifle. Newsham said it appeared as if the suspect may have fired one or multiple shots into the ground. The man has not yet been identified and his motives were not clear.

A young girl went missing many years ago. Happens all the time. There is something special about this case. Cold case with more funding after all of this time..after many p izzagate people sent info their way.
A bartender at Comet, who said he didn't see a gun himself, told News4 everyone inside started to panic as the man walked to the back of the restaurant. Customers and employees evacuated.
One shot was fired into the floor, but no one was hurt, police said.

DC Police responded to a call at 2:59 p.m. ET from a witness who said they saw a man armed with an assault rifle had entered Comet Ping Pong, a bar and music venue in the upscale Friendship Heights neighborhood of Northwest Washington, department sources said.
DC Police Chief Peter Newsham told reporters that the suspect fired more than one shot into the ground while inside the bar.
Shortly before 4 pm, police took the man into custody after he left the bar.
Although police brought in the bomb squad, sources said it was a precautionary measure and the suspect did not specifically say he had a bomb.

They report an assault rifle yet there’s no mention of what the rifle was let alone a full automatic which is what an assault rifle is.
