Instead of taxing the hell out of everyone, and then giving them freebies, just eliminate the federal “aid” and cut taxes proportionately. Then fire all the government workers whose jobs are to pass that money back and forth.
And when these former holders of sinecures are finally persuaded by circumstance to essay something productive... then the GDP will go up.
