First Day Of Wisconsin Recount Nets One Vote Change Between Trump And Clinton
Western Journalism ^ | December 2, 2016 | Randy DeSoto

The conclusion of the first day of Wisconsin’s recount in the presidential race has netted Hillary Clinton one vote.

Currently, approximately 22,000 votes separate Clinton and winner Donald Trump.

Trump garnered 1,404,000 (47.2 percent) votes to Clinton’s 1,381,823 (46.4 percent), while Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who called for the recount (now backed by Clinton’s campaign), took 1 percent of the vote or 31,006.

Based on the first day of the recount’s results, it does not appear the candidates’ overall tallies will change much.

Menominee County, home to the Menominee Indian Reservation, was the only one of Wisconsin’s 72 counties to fully report its results at the end of the first day. It is the second-smallest county in terms of population with approximately 4, 500 people.

Trump lost two votes and Clinton lost one, while Stein picked up 17 votes and Libertarian Gary Johnson gained 12, the Racine Journal Times reported. Wisconsin counties have until Dec. 13 to complete their recounts.

A pointless recount to satisfy Jill Stein’s vanity.

How’s that working out for the Left?

Why are you posting Day 1 when Day 3 results are already out?

Trump up +12 votes.

Oh? Have the third party votes been systematically under reported?

Strange, but it appears that Jill Stein’s vote tally was MORE than the plurality by which Donald Trump won the state over Herself.

If Jill had not been in there as the spoiler, maybe her votes would have all gone to Herself. < /sarcasm >

Yeah, but I’d still like to know how the results changed at all. Why isn’t 100% accurate the first time? If it can be 32 votes off in one county. Whose to say it couldn’t be 32,000 off in the next.

There's a few possibilities.
Voter marked Clinton then wrote in her name.
Voter circled name instead of marking circle etc.
Overvotes might have been read by machine, by not been obvious to hand counters.
It's statistical noise. Any time you count 1,000 anythings, you're going to have it.

It’s not about changing who won.

It’s about sowing confusion and cultivating dis ontent.

Look at this, she is such a fraud that she can't even retire without deceiving the public.

Stein is doing this to absolve herself from Hillary loss. She had no idea the election would be so close that the votes she got kept Hillary from the WH. She also probably regrets saying Hillary would start a war with russia.

I am reminded of an experiment I used to conduct as a training exercise called “Count the E’s”. I took a book page and ask the group to count the E’s. The results varied quite a bit. Then I asked them to recount and got differing results.

The lesson learned is that everything has variation and it is impossible to eliminate it.

As far as I know there’s never been a recount done where a vote total hasn’t changed. I believe the average is 2 to 400 votes changing.

Agreed. The only election results that changed on recounts involved very small margins to the original victors and then again, very small margins to the revised ones after the recounts (Gregoire, Salmon, and Franken).

I just read that Day 3 has resulted in over 15k votes taken from Hillary.

Can’t vouch for the veracity.

I work with financial systems. Variation is not allowed. You tie to the penny. Every time. When you load the data from one system to another, you tie it out to the penny.

If 24998 people vote in a precinct, there should be 24,998 votes accounted for, not more or less. And recounting the votes should end up with the same exact results.

Oh yeah, I saw a whole montage of pictures that somebody posted where Hillary had “accidentally bumped into” this woman and got a picture with her. She works for a PR company that Hillary has hired. Hillary expects nobody to see this, which shows just how much respect she has for the general public.
