Former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein switched tactics in her campaign to force a recount in Pennsylvania, one of three battleground states won by Donald Trump where she has challenged the results.
The party dropped a bid to pursue the recount in a state court, citing difficulties raising a million dollar bond demanded by the tribunal. It said it would instead press on in federal court and file suit Monday.
That was also Stein's deadline for raising the bond money.
"Make no mistake -— the Stein campaign will continue to fight for a statewide recount in Pennsylvania," attorney Jonathan Abady said in a statement.
"Over the past several days, it has become clear that the barriers to verifying the vote in Pennsylvania are so pervasive and that the state court system is so ill-equipped to address this problem that we must seek federal court intervention," Abady said.
"Petitioners are regular citizens of ordinary means. They cannot afford to post the $1,000,000 bond required by the court," read a filing submitted earlier in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, announcing the state court drive was being dropped.
Stein plans to hold a rally on Monday across the street from Trump Tower in New York "vowing to fight tooth and nail to verify the accuracy, security and fairness of the vote," a statement read.

So this is someone who got turned down by that judge in Montgomery County because of the complete lack of evidence of tampering (not to mention the judge in Wisconsin’s similar remarks) and then pulls out before her hearing tomorrow in court at the state level because (among things) she failed to post bond.
Gee, I am sure that a federal judge (regardless of their personal political leanings) is really going to sympathize with her concerning all avenues at the state level being exhausted and/or that something really improper took place at that said level and that the feds really needed to intervene on that count (do I really need to indicate the sarc?).
What is her endgame here? Guilty because she may have played a role in getting Trump elected? Trying to attract leftists who may be angry at her but who think the Democrat Party left them behind? Trying to build a database of voters? All of the above?

To get Hillary elected president. I'm sure she's being supported by the DNC, many RINO's, the whole Obama admin and many, many crooks embedded throughout the government, media, lobbying "industry", the courts, and various other corrupt entities.
The swamp stands to lose A LOT if someone honest like Trump takes over the government... for many, this literally will make the difference between ruin (and possible prison) and continuing their current wealthy lives of leisure. Everything is on the line for many, many people.

I know voting rights are protected by Federal law, but can someone please cite me the Federal statute that gives voters the right to demand recounts in any election?

Why was she so critical of Hillary in the general? Her Twitter feed was extremely critical. She was less hard on Trump. In fact, at one point she indicated Hillary would be a bigger threat because she could get us into a war with Russia. Why did she stay in the running? Her candidacy arguably siphoned voters from Hillary because no one voting for Stein would have voted for Trump.
I think she may regret her role in getting Trump elected. Also, we know that the Democrat Party is in shambles right now, and she may be trying to get the left to come to The Green Party. We do know that she keeps the email addresses of all the people who donate, so she is building a donor base she can reach out to for future Green Party elections.
Yes, it appears that Stein is a mere spotlight-absorbing passenger in all this, as the Clintons know to put someone else's pubic image behind this (one highly suspects) major vote fraud in the making.
Stein still lacks a credible motive, and the Clintons still lack a sense of honor, decency, and honesty.
