"What is Cotton’s experience to be placed at that level?"

Went to Harvard, then got a Harvard Law degree. Then enlisted in the Army, served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Served in the House of Representatives for one term - was on the Committee on Foreign Affairs. Isnwo in he first term in the Senate, serving on the Committee on Armed Services and the Select Committee on Intelligence.

I think he does more good in the Senate than he could do as secretary of state, but he is definitely qualified.

IMHO, Cotten could use some time as a middle manager in a large org before tetting the top job. He needs exoerience in sorting out various demands from various types of supplicants,

Cotton is a bright guy and has excellent training for the job. He might be better off in the senate for another term, tho...
