IMHO, Cotton could use some time as a middle manager in a large org before getting the top job. He needs experience in sorting out various demands from various types of supplicants,

Yeah, it wouldn’t hurt. I wouldn’t mind seeing more business types in the cabinet in non business positions (Treasury/Commerce). Clean up, pare down, shut down. But Cotton seems like a solid guy, so I’d be happy. I just worry we’d end up with a worse senator in his place.
