How Trump’s Calls to World Leaders Are Upsetting Decades of Diplomacy (New York Slimes alert!)
The New York Slimes ^ | 12/02/2016 | MAX FISHER and JOSH KELLER

President-elect Donald J. Trump has broken with decades of diplomatic practice in freewheeling calls with foreign leaders.

Dec. 2

Mr. Trump talks to the president of Taiwan, becoming the first U.S. president or president-elect to do so since 1979.

Why it matters

The call with President Tsai Ing-wen risks infuriating China, which considers Taiwan a breakaway province governed by Chinese rebels. By honoring the Taiwanese president with a formal call, Mr. Trump’s transition team implicitly suggests that it considers Taiwan an independent state. The U.S. has declined to recognize Taiwan since 1979, when it shifted recognition to the government in Beijing. Taiwan itself has yet to declare formal independence.

Donald Trump is beginning to look like the best President of the last century,....effective Chief Executive, a gifted visionary capable of resetting US Foreign policy for decades, patriotic & judicious international businessman, loyal American, honest politician capable of resurrecting a nationalistic vigor among the general population.

We all love the legacy of Ronald Reagan, but he never moved so instinctively prior to inauguration nor showed himself so effective....

This from the same POSs that think the Iran deal is so great — that deal also upset decades of diplomacy

Yes, but not the Pakistani one!

Trump said that everyone was invited to the party. If some want to ignore that invitation or come to the party and cause trouble I have a feeling he can handle that too in a firm effective and professional manner.

The “decades of diplomacy” that gave us 2 wars in Iraq, a godawful nuke agreement with iran, and which coddled the Castro brothers needs to be disrupted. Preferably with flamethrower.

I am sure Trump will. This also means putting a lot of stock on Pakistan behaving like a civil, well-mannered nation. I have very serious doubts about that.

He’s sticking by his word that he wants to include everyone. That starts with extending a hand of friendship. He doesn’t have to put any stock in what they might or might not do he simply has to deal with whatever response they give.

We will all see how that goes given some time. He has impressed me enough in the last year that I don’t feel the need to second-guess him.

WHO CARES? ....Trump has said that nationalism, not globalism will be our credo....

President Trump would do well to announce that no human organs harvested from living Christians will be accepted as organ transplants in the United States.

The New York Slimes - Fake news and hyperventilating because The Donald was polite and talked to a leader who called him. ChiComs can go pound sand. They should never have been accepted as a “preferred” trade partner.

Or upsetting to 8-years of Obama ineptitude.

The Left-wing media truly thinks that Bammy was some sort of foreign policy god when in reality he harmed this nation more than any other president.

The US is perceived now as a week, subservient nation thanks to the Obama adminstration.

No one gives a damn about what the haters at the new york times have to say... they write for corrupt elites - not for the people.
