That is taking place I believe in just the one county (in Madison) where they are doing a full hand recount. If they drag out something like that while the rest of the area completes theirs on time, the legislature and the state Supreme Court would most likely be well within the right to shut that one down.

Reading up in Wikipedia and elsewhere should give you and others here more info concerning what actually happened in the situations involving Franken, Gregoire, and Salmon elections where recounts led to changes in who won those elections (these are the only three cases up to now in modern U.S. politics for that to happen). The fraud and cheating is a great deal more easier to do and likely to take place before and during the original vote as opposed to the recount.

Why do people believe a recount to be more accurate than the orginal ? Who is to say which is more accurate ? What about a recount of the recount ? Or is it the count that yields the desired result by definition is the one most accurate ? The media and public are so blind to these basic questions.
