Also not mentioned by the MSM....the state of Indiana had already offered the $7 million carrot to Carrier and they turned it down...the money was the least of the reasons Carrier decided to keep the jobs here.

We are about to see Trump the businessman start to teach DC many things and when the people understand what the DC rats have been doing to us for decades, it will, as Bannon has said, change the political landscape for the next 50 years.

DC has worked to optimize things for itself... not for the people for whom they supposedly had been elected to be servants of.

Donald is going to change that. I chuckle with delight. God has answered our prayers.

Tax breaks, no? Millions of taxpayer dollars! Spending taxpayer money already in paid to play.. Ridiculous.. not to mention, if this is the new deal, it’s corporate cronyism on steroids. Thanking dt for saving jobs, like the CEO couldn’t have chosen for himself. Merry Christmas to ceos, screw you taxpayer.

If you watched his announcement at Carrier, he actually said the regulations were the biggest problem. He doesn’t need congress to do anything specific...he has the exec authority to remove them, hence the deal.

The actual key is that Whirlpool is a subsidiary of United Technologies, a key defense contractor. UT wants to be in on the military buildup and the Don explained the facts of life to them. Presto, Carrier stays put.

What is most critical for the United States is that the capitol investments for the latest generation of manufacturing equipment are made here in the United States and not somewhere else

If these investments are made here, we can compete with the rest of the world.

If these capitol investments are made off shore, manufacturing in the United States will be irreparably damaged.

The reason leftists hate this is because they oppose air conditioning. It burns coal.

Since every manufacturing job has a multiplier effect in the local economy of at least 4X, incentives to retain manufacturing jobs represent tremendous leverage. Save a job and you avoid 3-4 times that much negative impact. Drive through any small US city that has lost factories and count the number of empty storefronts and “For Sale” house signs if you doubt this. It is a fact.

What most Americans don’t understand is that there is an entire discipline of large business that they are not aware of but that Trump is a master of. He knows how to turn things around, he knows exactly what CEOs of large businesses face and what drives their decisions.

Without exaggerating, I think this is going to be a presidency for the history books. Trump will change forever the expectations that Americans will have of future presidents.
