California's Next Attorney General Issues Warning to Donald Trump Cheryl Miller, The Recorder December 1, 2016

Just hours after Gov. Jerry Brown nominated Xavier Becerra to be California's next attorney general, the longtime U.S. lawmaker warned the Trump administration to expect a fight if newly emboldened Republicans challenge the Golden State's liberal laws and policies. "If you want to take on a forward-leaning state that is prepared to defend its rights and interests, come at us," Becerra, a 12-term Democratic congressman from Los Angeles, told reporters

I remember.
Anaheim was a HOTBED of conservative thinking.

As for homosexuals, only .5 - 1.5% of the human race is homo/bi/trans/questioning/whatever-sexual. That's darn few. So, in the end (Pun intended.) they aren't even a blip on the radar.

Unemployment: different story. The national rate in August, 2016, was 4.9% and the state's rate was 5.5%. NOT good.
Silver lining: people will LEAVE California and you may be able to get a parking space at the mall.

Those Yankees won't never dare take us on. Cotton is king.
We wouldn't let the Democrats keep their slave labor in 1861, and we aren't going to let them now. If the future AG wants the next March to the Sea to be to the Pacific, so be it.

Sounds like a plan to me.
You sound like a male "Blanche Devereaux." :o)

I would actually respect CA’s the decision to secede. Heck I would help them in any way I could.

Just pulling their highway funds would be enough to shut the state down.

Except I grew up in Palm Springs the first and third (castro is second) highest gay pop zip codes in the country.

We do still winter out there (health problems don’t let us stay in the cold) but I’m retired so I don’t worry about finding work.

“Everybody deserves a “Mulligan” at least once in life... Haha!!”

Everybody? I have to disagree.

DJ and one other person I’m pinging debased themselves on a daily basis, like diseased whores sleeping in a dumpster during a blizzard.

However, they >have< been shown mercy. Sort of like how Stalin didn’t want to execute Hitler; he wanted to keep him alive in a cage, like an zoo animal.

“Vote Cruz”. It was like watching a chimp try to fly an airplane: Funny, but foolish...and a spectacular failure.

$12,000!!!!

I am overdue at the dentist, and seeing your post makes me think of this. I figure he’ll want me to have a crown.

I do not like anyone poking around in my mouth. I am also flat out Scotch with my money.

Weelllll.... anyone on OUR side, then... :^)

But to be fair, you know I was for Cruz early on, as many of my previous posts will attest. I was supportive because of his single-handed Senate stand.

He went butthead, though... and it was ugly.

Ehh. Water under the bridge. The stronger horse won it, and in FINE fashion too...

It couldn’t be any better right now, as far as I’m concerned... :^)

TRUE about Palm Springs. Sorry for that once-wonderful place.
The odd thing about the homosexuals is that they became so "accepted" by the mainstream that they MOVED out of the Castro and most of San Francisco to where they really wanted to live: other parts of the city and state. The Castro is as straight as an arrow now. Well, male-female couples with little ones who look like them.

Property prices helped also. Not all homosexuals were big-money income earners, even if there were TWO incomes.

Zoe Lofgen? Best rat in Cali? Interesting.

Proxmire was a moderate? I didn’t know that.

The most important thing that every real Texan can do at this moment is to let all these liberal folks moving to Texas with their companies from California, Illinois, New York, etc.:

1. There is a reason you are coming to Texas, and it is because the business climate here is PRO-business - low taxes, no income tax, lower level of regulations, lower cost of living, central US location, etc., etc.

2. There is a reason that the Texas business climate is that way - the political environment is conservative.

So, the moral of the story - don’t bring your liberal ass politics with you and screw our state up like you did California, Illinois, New York, etc.!!!!!

Yeah, Zoe is a real moderate. *snort*

Proxmire was ostensibly a fiscal Conservative. Unfortunately, he also played a substantial role in causing enormous harm to our space program. I forgot if it was Buzz Aldrin or Gordo Cooper (I think it was Cooper) who said Proxmire played a key role in stopping our next big goal of a manned mission to Mars. Between these guys and Zero, we’re about where we were 65 years ago with our space program (maybe 100, since at least 65 years ago we were only a decade away from the amazing accomplishments in the ‘60s). Sad.
