I got into a UH-1 once back in the 70's. The right seat pilot had "Mad Dog" on the back of his helmet. The left seat guy had "Xin Loi Charlie" and a drawing of Charlie the Star-kist tuna on his.
They were totally nuts. The skids were hitting trees as we were flying NOE. I was looking straight down at times, holding onto my rifle and hoping the seat straps held.
