As Tennessee battles raging wildfires, forcing an evacuation of thousands of people, a number of people on Twitter are mocking their plight, suggesting residents there deserve it for voting for Donald Trump.
Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, the epicenter of the wildfires because of their proximity to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, are popular holiday resorts for conservative and Christian families from the region. The towns have a number of attractions and wholesome family activities, including Dollywood.
Some of the tweets, instead of expressing horror, are declaring “let them burn” and “too bad it’s not the whole state burning.” The tweeters are also accusing residents of showing their “white privilege” because they want more news coverage of the fires.

She is not politically outspoken, but I do believe Dolly Parton is a Democrat, and quite liberal..gays especially love her!
I remember
Dolly’s foundation is giving those who lost their homes $1000 a month for six months. Not sure if she’s a Democrat but she is very generous and employees a lot of people, some of home are no doubt homosexuals.
The point is that blacks just do not seem to WANT to do the
“vacation” thing. We started going to the Smokies over 50
yrs. ago; saw zero black people & NOT because there were any
signs banning them either. THAT hasn’t changed; and we can’t
force them to enjoy the mountains if they don’t wish to go
there. Their loss. The houses there are largely modest to
average. We have rented cabins & chalets; now we stay in
a motel in Townsend near the “Loop” where early settlers
lived at one time. Townsend is more affordable. Up until
just a few years ago, the same elderly lady made lots of
homemade biscuits every day for breakfast at a local diner
where the locals generally have breakfast.
The drive is too hard on us now.:o(
Those that celebrate the destruction of so many people’s lives are evil incarnate. There is a corner of Hell that will burn just a little bit hotter for them.

Here in SoCal we have arsonists setting fires just about every time it gets hot dry and windy.
They can’t seem to help themselves. That’s why I would support locking arsonists up for life

Twitter is in a way a msg board like Freerepublic but limited to 140 characters at A time and it reaches millions instantly.

These remarks are nothing new, They have relieved me of any last trace of cavil, conscience or regret when it comes to ending their miserable lives. For they are truly unfit to live.
Democrats started those fires.

But, 9% claim “some other race.”
Nearly all of those are Hispanic/Latino.
2% “two or more races” - most of those white plus something else.
2% Asian Indian, nearly 1% all other Asian.
0.6% Black, 0.4% American Indian.
After this, she’ll probably sing at his inauguration.
She’ll probably be lots more conservative after reading about those tweets,
We were in Gatlinburg in October and we sat on a bench and watched people. Not one black. I told my daughter I didn’t understand why there were no blacks visiting.
We were in Myrtle Beach in June and a lot of black people vacation there. I guess they don’t like the mountains.
We live in TN and have spent a lot of time in the Smokies
over the past 50 years. EVERYONE is friendly up there and
I would doubt very much if ANYONE up there, even white
visitors have ever snubbed blacks. - The weather is for the
most part pleasant. NO business people or craftsmen there
would be so stupid as to consciously insult a black person;
certainly not the Cherokee who live there (descendants of
the early Cherokee who hid out during the “removal” by
the government). All I can figure is that blacks have a
dislike of TREES and MOUNTAINS sort of like the Jihadists
who don’t like those of us Tennesseans who are more like
JED CLAMPETT than we are OBAMA.
