I completely subscribe to that theory, including in “democracies”. It’s only the difference in degree, and even in the “democracies”, power is ever seeking to entrench and enlarge itself.

I’m sure he was a billionaire based upon his facilitation of the Colombian Cocaine Cartels. The $900 million is what he scammed off the top of foreign aid from other countries.

From each according to his ability. To each, according to his needs. Apparently, Fidel had a lot of needs.

The left, in it’s delusional line of thought, would consider Fidel as an inspiring success story.

“From each according to their ability, to each according to their need.”

It appears Fidel was very, very, very needy.

900 million dollars is certainly “in the millions “. It’s almost misleading to describe it that way.

Governments are mere engines to enrich those who run them. Witness our own Congresscritters.

$900 million in 57 years - what a piker! That’s less than $16 million/year INCLUDING appreciation.

I always knew that Communists didn’t know much about how business really works. Geez, the Clintons have $250 million from the last 16 years, only 25% of which time either one was actually in a powerful enough position to really cash in.

Doesn’t all that money and property belong to “the People”?

The only real difference between east bloc communists, and their Caribbean stooges in fatigues, and our resident `rat statists is the cut of their suits.
They represent what the Anti-federalist founders sought to avoid: constant, incremental aggrandisement of the central government.
Just the other day in an article posted here some on the left admitted that the “Hunger Games” books and movies were an allegory for our times.

PS At a personal level, how do you start out with nothing (w/ exceptions like Darrel Issa who made their pile in business) and wind up a few years later a multi-millionaire as a American “public servant”? Our exempt class.

Pence is speaking now in Indy. Believe all the channels are carrying it. He and Trump saved a lot of Hoosiers’ jobs and have a right to talk about it. Good on `em, proud of them.
I’m convinced Trump’s wealth was the cause of resentment from govt. apparatchiks, big and small bugs.

Yes, it was supposed to be “public service”. Back in former days, gentlemen didn’t go into politics because honest gentlemen couldn’t make money in politics, and dishonest men weren’t gentlemen.

"While the Castro family has imposed a mandatory 9-day mourning period over Cuba"

Our "Useful Idiot" MSM keeps talking glowingly about Castro, and showing images of "thousands of Cubans lining the streets to mourn their leader.

But of course the people loved Fidel.

Everybody has a nine-day mandatory mourning period imposed on their friends and relatives when they die (/S).

What do you mean not rich! He was king over his own island and controlled the lives of about 11 million groveling people.
He yells “FROG”, the people hop! How much richer can you get!
