Delaware County elector receives hundreds of daily emails urging him not to vote Trump

A Delaware County elector is receiving 1,500 emails a day urging him to cast his ballot for someone other than Donald Trump as the state Department of State released personal information about him.

Andrew Reilly, who is also Delaware County’s Republican Party chairman, is one of Pennsylvania’s 20 electors to the Electoral College.

He is scheduled to cast his vote Dec. 19 and has been receiving the emails, most of them automated, in attempt to persuade him to vote other than how the majority of voters in Pennsylvania choose.

Reilly said Pennsylvania Department of State officials told him they accidentally released his home address and telephone number and his email address has also been made public.

Wanda Murren, spokeswoman for the state Department of State, said the home address and email address is public information. She needed to verify the status of an elector’s home telephone number.

“Certain information about the electors is public information,” she said. “We have to provide that if requested.”

Reilly said most of the emails he has been receiving are form letters generated from progressive groups like Change.org.

Pennsylvania’s electoral votes are unbound, meaning electors can vote how they deem appropriate. Historically, the votes have been cast with whichever candidate has received the most votes.

In Pennsylvania, Donald Trump and Mike Pence received 2,900,785 votes to Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine’s 2,825,767.

This is kind of an easy fix, isn’t it? Can’t he find a way to temporarily FILTER his email to only receive from people already in his contact list?

I recall differently. IIRC, Delaware does have a state law that at least attempts to bind an elector to the wishes of the votes.

The State of Delaware may have that law, however this elector is from Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

These intimidation attempts on electors need to be stopped. The personal information should be confidential or it leaves open the door for bullying or bribery.

Can the Soros/Clinton cabal find 27 electors willing to accept $1 million each to change their vote?

These people are a bunch of whiny little female dogs.

To any/all of them out there reading this, about to drop a liter of pups over President-elect Trump's win I say this: We have an electoral system, your candidate lost, end of story.

Whining and complaining and trying to subvert the system just because you don't like the outcome makes you a sore loser. Oh, that's right, many of you grew up in the generations of "everyone's a winner, everyone gets a trophy." You never learned how to lose with dignity or grace. You want to start subverting the system, great, let's go for it. Ok, we've had the election, President-elect Trump won, let's kick obama and his cohorts in crime out now, immediately, today. Why wait until January 20th? Why follow the system? Trump's in, bammy is out, let's do this. Still want to start screwing around with the election system folks? Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

Doubt it. All it takes is one patriot to report the attempted bribery.

These are attempts to alter the outcome of a democratic election and should be treated as attempts to derail the state.

I wish I was one of the electors coming under pressure from these moonbats. I would be having SO much fun I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

Plus it would be ineffective. An elector could take the money and vote for the winning candidate anyway. What recourse would the briber have?
