HOW TRUMP COULD RUIN HIS PRESIDENCY
Ann Coulter Dot Com ^ | 30 November 2016 | An Coulter

Soon after Trump's announcement speech, I said he would win the nomination and likely the election. It wasn't that hard to predict. For anyone familiar with the Republican Party's repeated betrayals of the American people, it was a 2-foot putt.

I issue this warning with the same certitude -- in fact, for the exact same reason I knew anyone running on Trump's platform would have unbreakable support from millions of voters.

What coalesced Trump's base, what made his support tempered steel, was the fact that voters had been lied to, over and over again -- on many things, but most smugly and repeatedly on immigration.

How many times did we have to see the GOP choke? There's 30 seconds left in the game, Republicans are down by two, they move the ball up the court, have a man in position -- and, every time, the GOP would do anything to avoid taking the 3-point shot.

That is the beating heart of the anger that voters felt toward the party. No one trusted Republicans to ever score when they had the ball.

I hated her in 2008 for going with Romney. Then she fell in love with Christie. I think Trump can do a better job at picking the right guys

World leaders know by his words and actions that Romney is a back-stabbing POS and will not trust him. Therefore, with Romney as SOS, Trump will have a difficult time getting his foreign policy implemented.

My cousin is in ICE training in Colorado. Word is that the men on the ground are ecstatic about Sessions.

There’s a lot for him to live up to if he’s going to fulfill everybody’s pipe dream.

Axing Obamacare and building that impenetrable wall is as good a start as any.

The usual complainers will always complain since that’s what they do.

Beg to differ. With the BSM relentlessly pushing Gramnesty and McLame, Ryan, et. al. on him Trump needs to be reminded as relentlessly about “dance with the one that brung ya”. Or, as has been pointed out, we risk another “read my lips” defeat.

At this point, we've got to count on McConnell to keep "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" off the floor.

Except it would also have to pass the House and have Trump's signature. Neither is going to happen. As someone else noted, Trump can simply enforce the laws already on the books, no legislative action needed to start deporting illegals again.

Trump has already done more in less than a month than odumbo has the entire 8 years he’s had his feet on our desk. Trump has already gotten Ford and Carrier to change their relocation plans and stay in the U.S., can anyone point to a single such “deal” that odumbo has brought forward? Trump will indeed “Make America Great Again” and has already gotten the train moving, odumbo would still be selling tickets.

As of today, regarding appointments, he is making three pointers, some from the half court line

I am with you. Absolutely with you. You said it beautifully. He must not, NOT, betray us on immigration. If he does, he is toast.

It's true that the Republicans choked. They said if we gave them a team, then they could get in the game and make a difference. They got their team. But from my point of view, all they did was dribble and pass and run around in circles. Then the shot clock would run out and the Democrats would run the ball back and slam dunk it, because the Republicans wouldn't put anyone on defense.

Now they have their team, and their star starter. Get going. Put a LOT of points on the board, make some hard body checks, deny them an opportunity to score, and keep your crowd in the game. Make yourselves AMERICA'S TEAM! Call it Team MAGA!

First 72 hours is very critical, i suppose it would be something like D day on a Normandy beach type of event, but up to that we won’t know what beach exactly.

I would very much like to see Trump do something like they do in Alaska every year, once a year to all qualified citizens, give them a Permanent Fund Dividend check, those checks were over $2,000, anyone a legal citizen over 6 months of age and resided in the state at least 9 months out of the year got this check.

If you owed taxes, alimony or other bills it was deducted from that check. A system that worked very well, especially for retailers as checks or direct deposits came out early oct.

But if it was possible for it to go nationwide....first off you must be a citizen, you must not be on any watch list, must prove residency for at least 5 years.Only children of citizens are accepted, no anchor babies.

This would be a powerful motivation tool. It is in Alaska.

While that is true, she was one of the first to stand by Trump from the very beginning. I watched a video of her on the Bill maher show last year, and they asked her out of the current slate of GOP candidates, who would win the nomination. Ann answered Trump, and they howled laughter at her. I felt sorry for her...but....

did she ever get sweet revenge on them...
