Is there a word for integrity an many western european countries?

I’m not tooting the old horn, but staying on SSDI for good after 6 years would have been a ### of a lot easier than working overnights, most times with splitting headaches that a take 6 advil a shift for.

But 1. It pays a lot more than SSDI, 2. What example would I be setting for the younger folks in the family 3. there’s not enough good TV :) 4. I spend a lot of my time at work on FR anyway :)

10 to 6:30am. Usually gets real busy around 2:30ish :)

In 1969, the Nixon administration proposed the “Family Assistance Plan,” which was, in essence, a guaranteed annual income. But it died, in part, because of opposition from California governor Ronald Reagan.

There’s an even better solution to poverty than a $15 minimum wage (Basic universal income)

.... Well .... They do know they would be destroying their entire workforce .... right? Naw .... Probably not ..... When production and GDP drops drastically then they will have to bring in more Syrian and other Refugees and imports to cover the productivity shortfall in the country ..... Well until they themselves qualify for the free money ... then the vicious cycle keep repeating .... and so on ... and so on ...

I feel crazy even mentioning what has always seemed to me to be a fine approach to parenting ... if you can’t afford kids, don’t have kids. Guess that whole idea is passe ... So much better these days to build a giant government redistribution apparatus and subject people to paying for other peoples (baby momma’s) kids. What could go wrong?

I’m in favor of abolishing welfare and replacing it with a universal basic income program.

The idea is to create a floor or safety net through which no one can fall - and people can earn and keep any earned income above it.

Welfare discourages work because you lose your benefits when you earn more than a certain amount. Its counter-intuitive, stupid and inhumane.

Dependency should not be the policy goal of a decent society.

Hi, I’m from the government and I’m here to help! Bunch of socialist fools. My grandfather was right: all the good Germans emigrated to the US.

Up until recently the Germans had a reputatuion as some of the smartest, most ingenious, inventive and industrious people on the planet.

Once the Soviet Empire collapsed they seem to have gradually lost the ability to reason.

No amounts are given, other than to say they are tied to “child care costs”.

Here in the US we have:
— deductible child care
— dependent tax deductions
— child tax credits
— food stamps
— free school lunches
— EITC
— public education paid for by property taxes (even on childless property owners)

All of these are methods of shifting the cost of raising children onto other taxpayers. We should get rid of all of them and let people pay to raise their own kids, right ?

Discrimination on the face of it...

I am single-—never had any kids due to some health issues I could not change....

So I am to pay taxes to support people who have kids???

NO!
