Breitbart News organized the boycott after Kellogg withdrew their advertising from Breitbart News, claiming that the site and its conservative readers were not “aligned with our values as a company.”

The boycott, which has also taken place under the hashtag #DumpKelloggs, has generated thousands of posts on Facebook and Twitter, with the official Kellogg’s Facebook pages for various products being bombarded with complaints from Breitbart’s readers.

“We regularly work with our media-buying partners to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company,” said Kellogg’s Kris Charles in a statement this week. “We recently reviewed the list of sites where our ads can be placed and decided to discontinue advertising on Breitbart.com. We are working to remove ads from that site.”

Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alexander Marlow encouraged the boycott of Kellogg’s products, describing their war against

Is it true you're really pulling all your ads from Breitbart? My friends, I like your products, but frankly, this strikes me as being short sighted.

First, it just means I won't be seeing your ads. Your loss, not mine.

Second, it signals that an economic mini-war of some sort is going on, and people are going to be motivated to take sides Breitbart has millions of motivated readers / allies. We know how to find similar products made by your competitors. We know how to shop generic.

It is wrong of you to boycott Breitbart, because Breitbart is just a news/commentary site. It is not racist-sexist-antisemitic, etc, it is not beyond the pale I and my friends go there every day.

These losses to to you are entirely avoidable. Please reconsider.

The stupid burns. I wonder who is next.

Kelloggs makes a food product. Go ahead and eliminate half your consumer base.

Wow.

[No more Eggos.]

You can actually make french toast from scratch, use what you need, then freeze the rest. Put them in a toaster, and they taste better than the store brands and are much cheaper.

The US diet would improve immeasurably if Kellogg’s and Pepsi co.,products were boycotted. They are all very high in suga r/carbs and contribute to obesity and diabetes.

Very enlightening. I would’ve assumed that the goals of Kelloggs would be selling products. Apparently they’re more concerned with pampering terrorists and mixed gender restrooms. I can do without Kelloggs.

Aldi’s sells the exact same cereals (or better) under their name brand for 1/3 the price.

Box of cereal = $1.29

I sometimes make my own on Sundays when I make scrambled eggs for the spouse. She isn’t big on french toast.

Weekday mornings are usually too rushed getting ready to head to the mines so the AJ’s.

They don’t think they can be compelled to advertise. It is the flip side of Heller.

I know, I’m so mad at them, not just for insulting millions of conservatives but also because I buy strawberry mini wheats and pop tarts all the time, Kelloggs has ruined my breakfast with their liberal insanity. I’m emailing the CEO.

That makes sense because of the historic connection between Kellogg and Seventh Day Adventism.

These people have been poisoning children for 100 years and now they think conservatives do not share their values?

Well, maybe they don’t.

How many diabetics can trace their disease to eating the crap put out by this company when they were children?

Breitbart has a dump Kellogs petition for those interested. I don't usually do these kinds of things, but what the heck? Why not.

Plenty of other snack crackers out there.
