So glad you are above ground! Do 8 tubes converge at that station? Wondering why such a large shut down.(?)
Talk about your target rich environment. Is security tight in these underground subway stations that can hold hundreds or a few thousand people at the same time during rush hour?

One of the problems with the tube is no side access. So if a line has a problem, they have to close it and access it down the same track. I think the Paris Metro and BART have access from side tracks or outside the tunnel.
